In Korea Taeyeon and Yoona are the most populaire members. In Japon the most populaire are Yoona, Sooyoung and Jessica. In china the most populaire is Seohyun. In Europa the most populaire are Hyoyeon and Sooyoung.
All in all the most populaire members are Taeyeon and Yoona BUT Seohyun has the biggest fanbase in China.

i don't think Fany is that populaire in Japan. the haut, retour au début 4 is Yoona, Taeyeon, Sooyoung and Jessica, imo
I think its Taeyeon, because she's beautiful,pretty and talented. And she even got a lot of fans herein the Philippines. :) That's why i think she's the most populaire member in band.
most asian countries is Yoona and Taeyeon altough there's some exceptions like Japan, Philippines and China, where Sooyoung (Japan and Philippines), Seohyun( China) and Jessica (China and Japan) are also very popular.
Europe- Hyoyeon, Sooyoung and Sunny are the most populaire in the majority of the european countries
America- Sooyoung, Jessica and Tiffany in the majority of the american countries.
It depends on which country, but global, ensemble Yoona and Taeyeon are the haut, retour au début 2. I think Yoona is plus populaire though, since she is the face of group and a lot of people tend to focus on that also she is the member who performed the most individual activities in the group, so she got a lot of recognition from that too.
I personally think that, yoona is the most populaire member of girl's generation, because some of the people don't know about girl's generation but they already knew yoona through her populaire dramas. Taeyeon is populaire as well because of her successful songs. Both Taeyeon and yoona are populaire but again, for me it's yoona who is plus popular.
