When the snow melts, what does it become?

SPRING!!!! i always say that ever since i started Fruits Basket. (from wikianswers)
Hatori- "What do toi think snow becomes after it melts?"
Tohru- "What? Um, let's see. It..It becomes spring, doesn't it? No matter how cold it is now, spring will come for sure. Amazing, isn't it? Snow always melts away. Always. I l’amour spring the most.

I have my own theory about this quote : Winter/snow is a cold time that is equivalent to the hard times in life. When toi say "snow melts to water" your saying that when the bad times are over it just leaves toi empty in tears (water). But Tohru and Kana have a different view of it: that when your hard times are over toi get spring which is basically a warm, happy time and toi feel better no matter what happens. Sorry if this is lire into it to much but i just wanted to give my interpretation. When i started watching Fruits Basket i was going through a rough time and i saw that episode and that quote my me feel so much better about everything!
