Voices called all around her , “Dawnpaw! Dawnpaw! Help me! Help me!” Dovepaw voice was clearest. “ Why aren’t toi helping me! Please! Help…….” Dovepaw’s voiced died off.

Dawnpaw woke with a start, gasping for breath, then realizing it was a dream.

“Dawnpaw?” It was Thrushpaw. “ Are toi okay? You’ve been fidgeting all night.”

Relived that it was Thrushpaw, she took a deep breath and replied, “I’m fine. It was just a dream….“ she wondered if she could tell her tanière, den mate what she really dreamed about.

“About Dovepaw?” His golden brown eyes sparkled with concern....

Dovepaw woke up in her nest in the medicine cats’ den. Her whole body ached. She strained her ear to her around camp. No one was in the den, except for her. She listened to the warriors.

“Did toi hear about how our little warrior fought?”

She listened all the way around the camp. It was the same topic. Dovepaw heard Mintflight coming. She laid her head back down. She tried to get up.

“ Slow down, Dovepaw.” It was Mintflight. “ Let me help toi up.”

Mintflight put her shoulder under her to help her up.

“Can toi manage it par yourself?” Mintflight asked.

“I think…” Dovepaw meowed...

     Dovepaw didn’t know how long she could keep this up. It was an unfair battle. Two senior warriors versus a medicine cat apprentice. Dovepaw colombe underneath the tabby’s belly and clawed at his belly fur, then kicked out and hit his tendons, then quickly rolled aside to avoid getting crushed. Scarpelt scrambled to his massive paws and attacked harder. He clawed at her face then against Dovepaw’s flank....

Dawnpaw wiped around to see a dark tabby. She glanced over to Dovepaw, who was looking at the warrior with no fear in her eyes. Dovepaw isn’t scared? she thought. But, she knew that they both were terrified.

“What do toi want from us? We are just apprentices.” Dovepaw meowed but Dawnpaw heard her voice waver in nervousness.

“Ah. There toi are right, Dovepaw. But toi see, toi are on Pineclan’s territory. You’re trespassing. toi know what we do to trespassers, don’t you?” The tabby replied in a sarcastic and rude way.

“I’m a medicine cat.” Dovepaw replied looking up from below...

"How do toi know they went to another clan?"
"Well if the wanted to go to Flowerclan they would go in the opposite direction, wouldn't they?"
I stared at Sparrowstar with question and amusement. "He's avoiding the question. He has them!" A cat from the crowd yelled. Sparrowstar shot the cat a look and turned again to me. " I have not any of your warriors!" He hissed. "Then if so I will let this lie until plus of my warriors disappear." I turned to Lightheart and he gave me a nod. I stepped back and the rest of the leaders looked around and decided the gathering is over. Stripestar and Whiskerstar...

The suivant few nights Moonstar was disturbed par the same dream. It was the night of the gathering and I still wanted to stay in the warm moss and feathers of my nest and have Jaycloud beside me to keep me warm. I got up and opened my eyes and it was barely dawn. I got up without stirring Jaycloud. I looked out the entrance of my tanière, den and looked out at the clearing before me chats coming in from dawn patrol, I saw the nursery become alive with the faint shrieks of playing kits. I walked out of my den. Lightheart was padding up to me. "Morning Moonstar I have something to tell you." I nodded at him...

Moonstar was running through a field. Ready to catch a plump mouse. Then it felt as if how ever close she got she couldn't catch it. The earth under her began to melt away like ice in summer. She tried running but there was something like an invisible wall. The sound of shrieking chats and howls cut through the air like a claw through fur.Moonstar tried to run to their help but was always stopped par invisible walls. Then a voice blared out the rest of the noise. "Before life is all well the blossom and feu will work to terrorize all." Moonstar awoke with the warmth of her mate,Jaycloud, beside...

“Eaglewing.” Mintflight mewed. “ Dovepaw and I need to gather herbs now. We are not too far from the two-leg nest.”

“Sure.” The black and white tom replied. “ Foxpelt, go with Mintflight. And… Dawnpaw, go with Dovepaw.”

Wait. Dovepaw thought. Did Eaglewing just say to go with Dawnpaw?

    “Dovepaw.” Mintflight’s voice wavered. “ toi go to the two-leg nest with Dawnpaw. I am going plus towards the lake. Remember, we need to collect mainly catmint, oak leaves, I will collect some watermint.”

“Okay, Mintflight.” Dovepaw replied. “ I’ll be sure...

The cool morning sun was beginning to flood the medicine cat den, when Mintflight awoke. She turned her head to see the sleeping silver/gray apprentice suivant to her.
