Feminism Question

Anyone here a feminist, AND pro-life?

Just wondering. :P I'm all for womens' rights, but I also think its unfair that unborn children should die. People ive told this to thought it was weird that im a feminist, and pro-life. so i was wondering if anyone else was?

I am pro-choice but I don't think toi have to be to be a feminist. I think the issue of abortion is important as long as women's choice to not have sex is being ignored. The way our society treats rape victims is completely messed up and evil. I know lots of women who have been victims of rape and they never came vers l'avant, vers l’avant and pressed charges because they were afraid. Afraid people would blame them, afraid of having to deal with re-victimization par police and the justice system. This is a serious problem and as long as it isn't being addressed in a serious way and attitudes that blame the victim and not the perpetrator still exist, I believe women should be able to get an abortion. And as long as women are disproportionately among the population's poor, women need access to abortion.

If we fixed these problems, there would be less need for abortions. If women had access to family planning and birth control and their basic bodily integrity was respected, and they had the means to support themselves and their children financially, there would be less need for abortion.

If people who are anti-abortion don't address these issues, it's hard to take them seriously. I'm not saying toi think this way, it's just an observation of a lot of anti-choice people I've come across. They are concerned about the unborn until they are born, then it seems they could care less about their quality of life.

I'm pro choice. SK a dit it all for me. I especially agree with what she a dit about pro lifers only caring about the unborn and when they're born, oh, just do adoption, where they just get thrown into a foster accueil and get pretty much forgotten, with little to NO chance of ever being adopted, because of the staggering numbers of unwanted children in just the US and the ridiculous policies that people have to meet to even consider adopting. All the while these kids being sexually and physically abused, but hey...at least they're alive right? Until they turn 18 of course, then it's a boot in the butt out in the cold. Abortion is a choice not a debate.

I am prochoice. I get why abortion would be frowned upon par alot of people, and I honestly don't know if I would personally ever get an abortion, but I sure don't want anyone else making that decision for me, and I don't think it's right for me to make that decision for somebody else. I also know someone else who is prochoice because they mentioned how when abortions were illegal alot of women would still get them, they just went to plus dangerous measures.

Yes and that is a major issue as well. If they seriously don't want the child, they will find a way to get rid of it. Even if it resorts to having the baby and trashing it in a dumpster.
