11. Rolling down the highway ('The Fast and the Furious,' 2001)

still had some strong, if not visually thrilling, chases. In this one, Dom (Vin Diesel), revealed to be a criminal, chases down a truck full of merchandise with his crew. What they don’t expect is for the driver to have a shotgun and some amazing aim. Brian (Paul Walker) comes to the rescue, blowing his undercover role in the process. It’s tense, but don’t expect the bombast or creative ingenuity of later films.
