Minor Errors/Complaints I Have With fanpop

Alright, so I l’amour fanpop just as much as the suivant guy, but over the years, I've been constantly irritated par these small, yet non-practical things that should probably fixed. If toi don't agree with me, fine. Just tell me in the commentaires of this article what toi don't like. We good? Alright. :)

Nitpick #1: The Fanning System Bug

Alright, so if you're not familiar with this, then just hear me out. There's a glitch on the site that basically happens when toi have fans on something, like an article, then éditer whatever it was that had fans.

Now this is a little summary of all the questions asked aboot medals. YES i realise there is plenty of information on this site but it's scattered all over the pop so this is my attempt again to make a short summary of FAQs so I can reference this when the suivant "answer" is posté and then hit the rapporter button!

Stop being so cruel when it comes to RATINGS!!!

OK guys! Today we'll talk about ratings! Many of us contribute things to fanpop and it's great!!! Because we are working on it! We are looking for images, videos, liens to help other people! But it happens a lot that some people rate it low!!! toi know it sucks when you've being searching for something, contributing it and HERE toi ARE - toi see one étoile, star rating for all toi did!!! I don't understsand such people. If toi don't like the content DON'T rate it at all!!!! ou at least leave comments!!! Here's the example I uploaded images on spot A. I did a great job looking for them! After I was waiting so they could mettre en ligne on Fanpop. And in an heure I see one étoile, star rating which means garbage!!! It is so insulting! I'm sure toi guys had the same situaions. We can do nothing about it. But people, APPRECIATE other Fanpoppers. Don't visit the spots toi hate, don't hurt people toi hate, DON'T RATE LOW! Please, fanpop is one and there are a lot of us so let's live in peace:)

Hi everyone, this is Handy Kristina McDandy here to help toi figure out how to are a sweet profil picture to your fanpop account!!! It is very simple, even though it took me a few months to figure out how =|. Anyway, let's get started!

Log in to your fanpop account and go to your profile. Click on "Photos" and mettre en ligne a picture. Add a caption if toi want, then soumettre the picture.

=-O ! Oh my goodness, I missed a step! 😬! If toi want to make the picture toi uploaded your profil picture, toi have to check the box at the bottom <(^>^)>.

How not to get banned for life, and how to punish trolls

99% of toi are amazing fans! This is a guide on dealing with the 1%.

To summarize:

1. rapporter ATTACKERS IMMEDIATELY. toi are doing the entire community a favor as they are probably attacking other members.

YOU MUST PROVIDE AS MUCH EVIDENCE AS POSSIBLE IN THE rapporter FIELD, including liens to the attacks.

Attacks are personal insults, threats, bigotry, etc. A person saying they don't like a contribution is NOT an attack. Having a débats is also not an attack until insults/threats etc. are mixed in.

2. IGNORE THEM. DO NOT RESPOND BACK. If toi attack back, toi are probably giving the attacker/troll...

I was a very prominent user, 2007 - 2009 probably, but as I was 19 when I joined back then, I was without many responsibilities, and had plenty of time to dedicate to Fanpop, and was proud to watch it grow, and change and develop.

Well im here to speak bout some guys who use this page to catch girls. This is a site where there are too many youngs peeps, so there are bad people trying to get naked pics from girls.
I have some users names that do that: devin437 ou 458, panthers17, christian11 ou james1337/shayan_alii/raging_bull999/
Dont belive these guys.

Question 7..Where can I find the FAQs?

Basically this will be a collection of all the picks asking "HOW DO I- insert basic function here ?" (usually with the options IDK and PLZ tell me in commentz) and my short answer to these inquiries. Now that we have the new réponses feature they are usually posté as an answer request but still repeated endlessly.
I usually rapporter these kind of picks/answers and they get deleted as they are effectively spam. The drawback is: all information users leave in the commentaires is lost.

Dictionaries are a handy tool.

One thing that's becoming plus and plus prominent as time goes on, is that people online don't feel the need to use good grammar and spelling. Now, despite the fact that when on IM ou whatevs, it's really fine to use all of these little abbreviations like "jk" "lol" "atm" etc. etc. etc. Before I get any farther into this uncontrolled rant, let me just say that I do use some internet slang. Most of this, however, are words that I make up. So, whatevs, deelie, yuppers, wazhappenin, etc. etc. etc. I'm not one to use mainstream slang other than "lol" because there is NO replacement for LOL. No,...

Ok, now I know that there are other articles out there about keeping fanpop clean in terms of language and being appropriate but it is obviously not enough seeing as people continue to ignore it.

STOP BEING MEAN TO ME!

Today's fanpop has plus people mean and sarcastic then others. I'm not against it, but I don't have to be.

For those "yelled" at constantly, that means you're doing something WRONG! And it only leads to disaster. What might toi do wrong?
• Spamming
• Spelling names wrong
• Using incorrect grammar
• Posting miscategorized pictures, picks, questions(answers), etc. to a spot
• Hating on the person's spot
• Impersonating a celebrity
• Making a hate spot

fan Pop how to éditer stuff

Alright so this is just for a laugh really, what toi change isn't permanent anyway, only toi cans ee it and when toi refresh everything will change to normal again anyway so it s just for a laugh really so I'm going to teach toi how to éditer fanpop clubs for your eyes only, toi can have a bit of fun with things toi hate ou love!

First toi will be needing:

- Google Chrome
- A fanpop Account

Open up Chrome

Go to fanpop and log in

Go to the club toi want to éditer (or maybe even someones profile, ou yours)

Right click on something toi want to change (For example, the fan count) and click Inspect Element...

if we wanted to change the fan count, let's say the fan count on the group we wanted to change was 200. Look for '200' in the inspect element database thingy...

Then éditer it and press enter ou f10 to save it

toi can do this with pretty much anything (see my example)

Okay, for the past two months I have steadily grown addicted to this website. Maybe it's all the free time I have these days, ou maybe it's just I have an addictive personaily. It could of course be that this website is pure brilliance and I constantly think about it. Does that make me sad? No way! Because I can bet I'm not the only one. So here's a checklist of how to know when you've crossed the line between fanpop-addict, and totally-crazy. :)

I can't believe it's been a whole year!

Today marks our 1-year anniversary of launching the fanpop public beta! That's right folks, it was one an il y a today that we pressed the button and unveiled fanpop to the world wide web. And since then, we've had millions and millions of people come to the site. It's been great because we've gotten to know so many of toi through the community.
