All together as twelve members, they are known as "EXO", however the members are divisé, split in half. Half of the members promote their group in Korea (EXO-K) and the other half promote Exo in China (EXO-M). However nowadays, toi usually just see them as "EXO" as a whole with Chinese and Korean versions for their songs/mvs

Exo-k promotes their songs in Korea while Exo-M promotes their songs in China. Exo-M has 4 chinese members namely, Kris, Luhan, Lay and Tao. The other two who are Chen and Xiumin are full blooded Korean. In their MAMA era, Exo is still parted in to two subgroups which are EXO-k and EXO-m. But, in loup era, Exo became as one group, both promoting in China and Korea. But still, they got their Korean and Chineses versions of their songs.

EXO-L stands for EXO-Love. In the alphabet, L is located in the middle of K and M. That's is why the fans were called EXO-Ls
