Emma Watson shows some serious sexiness on the cover of British GQ magazine’s upcoming issue. She strikes a pose as Nicki, her “amoral” character from her upcoming movie “The Bling Ring.” Hello Julia Roberts. She wears the same dress that Julia wore in her 1990 déplacer "Pretty Woman."

Watson wears a dress on the cover not seen since Roberts wore it in the 1990 movie “Pretty Woman,” with Richard Gere. She plays a hooker who falls for a tycoon.

Watson, 22, acquits herself well. Her navel peeks through a steel ring holding the dress together while she pulls down one side to give a peek at a tattoo perilously low on her hip.

Are we going to exclaim, “Wow, Emma Watson can really sing!”
Bill Condon [director]: Yes! She sort of had to and wanted to prove she could do it. She had always loved singing, but in those years of doing Harry Potter she hadn't done it. She got her voice back in shape, took lessons and then there it was! This beautiful, sweet, pure sound that she has. It is interesting.
We don't usually think about movie stars being able to sing, and then they do it. Some people's voices just reveal something about themselves and seem like the essence of them. Emma is one of those people, there's a natural...

Dear Our Shared Shelf,

Our suivant book will be Persepolis, a graphic novel that serves as the memoir of the author, Marjane Satrapi. It's about a bold and Rebelle young woman and her experiences in 1980s Iran.

Persepolis was first published in French in 2003 and like Art Spiegelman's Maus (which was about the Holocaust and was the first graphic novel to win the Pulitzer Prize) is now widely considered a classic of the graphic novel form.

Satrapi grew up in Iran during the Islamic Revolution and its aftermath; Persepolis is the story of her childhood. Through Marji's youthful (though not-always-innocent)...

Emma Watson stars in The Bling Ring! Isn't she hot!
Emma Watson is the face that has launched at least a half-dozen magazine covers so far this summer tied to her racy new movie “The Bling Ring.” And, to think, Emma considered bagging jouer la comédie after her 10-year run in the Harry Potter movies.
Watson’s string of covers, however, certifies her as an international superstar.
“The Bling Ring,” about a group of suburban Los Angeles high school kids who burglarized the homes of celebrities, is Watson’s sexiest role yet.

For the former squeaky clean “Harry Potter” star, the film is as much of a departure from her child jouer la comédie career as “Spring Breakers” was for former Disney teen Queen Selena Gomez.

"Dear Our Shared Shelf,

This book isn't strictly just a book - it's a play that became a political movement that became a world-wide phenomenon. Just say the titre The Vagina Monologues and, even now, twenty years after Eve Ensler first performed her ground-breaking show, the words feel radical. I'm very excited about spending the months of January and February lire and discussing a book/play that has literally changed lives.

The first person's life it changed was the feminist playwright Eve Ensler's. She says she didn't so much 'write' her play as act as a conduit for other women's...

Dear OSS,

I've been searching high and low for our suivant book. The club has been much plus international than I had anticipated - and much bigger. I'm really proud of my club members - discussion-wise - toi are all hitting it out of the park. I'm having to find livres that are accessible, cover multiple perspectives and languages, that are unique and not too well known already... So without further ado...

Our suivant book is going to be The Argonauts, par Maggie Nelson. The story is about the author’s relationship with artist Harry Dodge, who is fluidly gendered. It's about their romance,...

Harry Potter and Twilight Are Both Made For Teens (Excuses for all the other people who look at it), But toi Can See That HP is Way plus respectful, magic and it's not all about a l’amour story, about kisses, having sex and so much more...

1. Hermione is so close to who I am as a person that I've never really had to research a role. I'm literally rediscovering what it means to be an actress.

2.Hermione uses all these big long tongue twister words. I don't know what she's going on about half the time!

3.I have felt for the last 10 years I have had this battle; I've been fighting so hard to have an education. It's been this uphill struggle. I was Warner Bros' pain in the butt. I was their scheduling conflict. I was the one who made life difficult.

Emma Watson is just so cute. She's got that little face and that artfully messy hair, and she's wearing the sweetest white summer dress you've ever seen. But when she starts speaking over breakfast at the Carlyle hotel in New York City, it becomes very clear that our old friend Hermione is anything but childish. Watson is smart and funny and passionate about becoming an actress with a capital A.
