SarahCorine picked Mulan:
Without a doubt. By far the strongest female character both physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Yeah, she saves all of China so there's kind of no contest...

glelsey picked Tiana:
I think the amount of conflict Tiana goes through in her story was what made her stand out to me. I feel like we know so much about her as a character; her likes and dislikes are well defined right from the moment we meet her, and they have a ton of impact on the movie's events. In particular, I thought it was great how even as a kid she is disgusted by frogs - especially at the idea of kissing one - and then of course Murphy's Law comes into play when she's grown up. I also like the scene where she uses her culinary skills to learn how to survive as a frog.

The other main aspect that I think makes Tiana a very strong protagonist is her variety of relationships with the other major characters. We've got the heartwarming relationship she has with her mother and, at the beginning, her father. We've also got lots of fun contrast when we compare her no-nonsense attitude with the personalities of... well, most of her friends, actually! She is a serious character, but certainly not in a way that I find boring. Instead, I feel like her "only sane woman" role is something that holds the whole cast together!

So I guess both of these are why I believe she is a very strong lead who can really carry the movie and keep us interested throughout.

Or Pocahontas. Tiana and Cinderella, but not the strongest in my opinion.
