Sorry Tiana! I'm not quite sure about your regal skills.

^^^ Tiana, Cindy, and Belle are not royalty at all, EITHER. If you make that judgement--- ALL FIVE of the remaining DPs are OUT.

Tiana has a background in running her own business, but that probably does not translate well to managing a whole kingdom.

iwasneverhere: I don't mean to judge. Tiana, Belle, and Cinderella married with princes and automatically they're being royalty while Mulan isn't.

^ Agreed. We didn't see her actually caring for people other than living in the castle.

^that. I think she has many good qualities for a queen but many of her flaws might override them. And she probably wouldn't be too into serving others so she wouldn't try her best. She's been shown to not really care for the "little people" as she calls them either.

How did she, Tiana and Mulan make it and not Aurora? Aurora was specifically designed to be queenly, and there's also her willingness to serve others. Her being raised as a peasant is completely bad logic since these girls are too (maybe not Cindy though), plus the fact that the fairies very likely gave her the classical education of a princess. You aren't born knowing how to ballroom dance or speak so properly. People need to stop letting their dislike of a character let them become biased, because a lot of the reasoning here is rather hypocritical.

I don't think Belle is selfish and elitist at all. She sacrifices her life for her father's and gets along almost instantly with the enchanted staff (as opposed to you know, freaking out about talking, sentient objects). The reason she calls the townsfolk "little people" is because they wake up and do the same thing every day, she tries to engage with them conversationally but they just brush her off. Not to mention the entire town walks behind her singing about how weird she is for liking to read! Belle also mentions wishing to her father that she could have a friend to talk to but can't because she's viewed as "odd." The townsfolk also idolize Gaston and are totally ok with setting up a wedding before he asks her to marry him. It's clear from the townsfolk's actions that they don't think much of her because she's so different and doesn't fawn over Gaston like every one else does.

Moving on, I choose Mulan not because she can't rule but because she chooses not to. She declines the Emperor's request to serve on his counsel to return to her family. Also, as a non-royal (married a general) she doesn't have a chance at the throne any ways.

Belle cares a lot for her father and people from the Beast's castle but... maybe because they are special to her. I'm not sure she would care for other people, she hadn't a lot of contacts with villagers.

MaidofOrleans picked Tiana:
She has no desire to be a leader. All she cares about is her restaurant. Not to mention that the stress with her all work and no play attitude, the stress of being a ruler would probably be too much for her.

I thought they liked Belle. There's many worse ways to be treated than widely regarded as "pretty and funny", which is more of a compliment. She's seen as prettier even than the Bimbettes for her personality as well as her looks. But for someone who wants friends so badly, she doesn't try very hard, and kind of just wants to talk about herself and her own interests, and judges others for working while she just reads and daydreams, which is pretty unfair. And not all the townspeople were at the wedding.
