Battle of the Beauties! Sorry for my pitiful attempt at a joke. Sleeping Beauty won in votes, but both were tied in comments, so again, your comments are important!
I said it all last time. Rushed, inconsistent, and the style is nothing we haven't seen from Disney before.

Oh wow these two already? Anyway, I like BatB animation style better. I especially love it in Beauty and the Beast (song). SB is the most impressive but I'm not sure if it's even in my top 5 favorites.

It's pretty close. I prefer the softer style of regular Disney animation over Sleeping Beauty's sharpness generally, but the inconsistencies are horrific in BatB, and completely detracts from my ability to enjoy the animation. Sleeping Beauty is gorgeous to watch though, the flow, the texture, the style, it is glorious.

The Classics have the best animation IMO.

Both have beautiful animation, but like others have said, the inconsistencies are too obvious to ignore, which really distracts you from the story

Beauty and the Beast has the best animation, to the ballroom scene to the transformation. Sleeping Beauty doesn't have real smoke, or the different point of view during the dance!

I prefer the Classic animation.

I love both so much! SB has a very unique style, with all these angular objects and small details. However, BATB's style is so elegant and flowing!

What I really like about Beauty and the Beast is the character design, especially of the Beast. But the character design of Sleeping Beauty is just as good (especially Malficent), and the style is something unique which makes you pay attention. Beauty on the Beast on the other hand has a pretty generic style. And while there are some memorable scenes in it (though the ball room scene is actually based on Sleeping Beauty - the actually difficult part with the movements was done for this movie, Beauty and the Beast just added the angles with the help of computers), the animation is overall very rushed, very inconsistent and full of animation mistakes.

This is th best of the best! Both forest are really cool, in different ways. I think I like TSB's little more, but the ballrom scene in BatB settles my mind: it's the best animation ever.

Personally I'm quite attached to the animation style of both movies, in fact, out of the 2D Disney films these two managed to convey the most poignant and remarkable aspects of drawing structure combined with revolutionary - for it's time respectively - achievements and challenging innovations. However, judging and alayzing either from nowdays standpoint, BatB animation is definitely more consistent and layered, both in regards to colot palette and the dimentions of overall picture where neither background nor front plan were expensed or left underdeveloped for the sake of highlighting more visually prominent and important objects/characters.

Well, Sleeping Beauty won't win but I prefer it's animation more. In BatB they made a lot of mistakes making people criticize Disney, especially after the mistakes in TLM. I can't help but think of them being a little naive of the outcome.

I adore them both! I just think Sleeping Beauty is more special, because all of the details.
