I hope it's alright for me to do this countdown. I don't think Aurora is stupid but that's not particularly smart, she's average. Part of the reason is because of her lack of screen time. She invited a total stranger to her house who could be a rapist, a murderer, a kidnapper, a cannibal, or just some kind of psycho. My next choice would be Snow White. Though I know Ariel's going to be eliminated in one of the first three rounds, even though I think she's really clever and I'm not being biased I promise.

I'm not of the opinion that there are dumb princesses, but I would always vote Ariel for being the most thoughtless and immature of them all.

She's the only Disney Princess that I find dumb, I mean she sold her voice for a sea-witch just to become human, she disobeyd her father several times, she left her family for no good reason, the list can be made long

That's not stupidity that's being headstrong and brave. Also she had a reason for leaving she wanted to be human even before Eric. Besides disobeying her father has nothing to do with intelligence.

I go for Aurora. She arguably had the most sheltered life of all of the Princesses (possibly Rapunzel, but Rapunzel had different resources like reading books often, educating herself etc) Ariel probably makes the most dumb/daft decisions but despite this I think she's probably more intelligent than Aurora.

None of them are dumb though IMO. Some make stupid/reckless choices, even choices that could be considered dumb at the time, but don't we all? They're not unintelligent by any means. I'm not saying they're all equivalents of Einstein but I wouldn't call any dumb.

Pocahontas' "wisdom" about nature isn't particularly clever, it's a basic cultural knowledge and all her people have comprehension.

Also she follows the compass that keeps repeatedly telling her to go with John Smith...then when he's captured she's "confused" ...about her path... which has been a pretty consistent message... for about 1/2 hour before she's like 'uh DUH guess I should go be with John" and she's like 'but I don't know what to do i'm so lost' and her big realization is to jump on top of him, Pocahontas always struck me as a total moron. LOVE HER! ♥

I'd pick Jasmine next. She used to be my smartest princess, but lately I realize how absolutely foolish she is.

She made just so many stupid choices...I don't think she's smart or intelligent at all. Actually she's surprisingly dumb.

I use to think Ariel was the stupid one. But then it hit me she kind of knew what the punishments were, like if Eric didn't take her or not being with her family so she't not that dumb.
But Jasmine left the castle at night. She could have been hurt if it wasn't Disney, she didn't know think about the world around her when others (Ariel and Rapunzel) wanted to learn more about things they didn't even have front row seats for.

I dont think any of the princesses are dumb, and I don't really like picking Ariel for this. But I suppose she made the most LEAST smart decisions out of all of them. I don't think shes dumb by any means. Shes a kid, she wanted to spite her father for destroying all her stuff, so she made a fast decision. I really hate when people say she did it for no reason. She was in love, love makes people do crazy things! In the end, her father understood. She couldn't be locked up in Atlantis forever.

So we're supposed to vote for least intelligent? In that case, in my opinion, this is not even close: definitely Ariel. She makes really, really dumb choices. For heavens sake, SHE KNEW URSULA WAS AN EVIL SEA WITCH WHEN SHE WENT TO SEE HER AND SHE STILL WILLINGLY GAVE HER HER VOICE. That is really unintelligent in my opinion, that alone would make me pick her. Also, she left her family for absolutely no reason at all because she had a perfectly fine family, there was nothing wrong with Triton at all, she just rebelled anyway, and I hate rebels who have absolutely no or minimal reason to rebel at all (this is why I have a love-hate relationship with Ariel). Though she does learn how to walk pretty fast and adapt to the human world, Ariel makes so many downright dumb decisions that this isn't even close in my opinion.

I mean it's not completely her fault but she is the youngest and her teacher of the outside world is a crazy seagull and a bunch of collected items from shipwrecks. Her father deliberately keeps her in the dark. She also sells her voice with little thought not thinking of the consequences. I guess I would call it more naivety than stupidity.

For these polls, I always wonder if you mean smartest as in IQ (like how they would do in school if they tried) or smartest as in street smart and clever.

Aha I have to agree with princesslullaby about Pocahontas. I love her to pieces, but she's not the brightest bulb in the box. I have to disagree with people who say Ariel isn't intelligent, I think Ariel is fairly clever and has a thirst for knowledge in the area of her choice. Actually, i think all the princesses are smart in one way or another.

I don't think she's as dumb as people make her out to be, but I would pick as the least intelligent of the princesses. After using the fork as a comb, Eric and Grimsby look at her like she's crazy, and she realizes that the "dinglehopper" is not what she thought it was. However, even after she realizes Scuttle was wrong about forks, she still takes Grimsby's pipe and uses it as a "snarfblat." I don't see why she would think it would be a good idea to follow Scuttle's advice after seeing it was wrong. She also seems pretty scatterbrained. She forgot that she had the concert and Sebastian said she never showed up for practice.
