Her speaking voice is so soft and gentle but when she sings its powerful and demands attention...i mean her or jasmine because her is slightly lower tone than her singing voice why can't they just hire people who can act and sing for these parts

Agree w/ tiagih on Aurora. It's all like sweet and innocent when speaking then when she starts to sing it's like all attention demanding and seductive but it's the same voice actress singing too. Jasmine comes second, but keep in mind her singing voice is dubbed not Aurora's

I would say, Swanpride, it probably has the most to do with the fact that most of the other princesses use a very "pop" voice, or otherwise sing almost as they speak. Aurora has the most "song" to her singing. Her voice actress, Mary Costa, was an opera diva.

This isn't inherently bad. Ariel's singing is more relatable than Aurora's. When she sings, she sounds more like a lonely teenage girl, or a girl filled with hope and excitement. When Aurora sings, it's the epitome of beauty and talent, but it has altogether less personality. Ha--which might describe the characters themselves.
