Ah, feminism and Disney Princess. Such a complicated relationship. Now I'm not an expert, especially being a guy but the topic of feminism in relation to the DPs has always intrigued me. I'm gonna try my hand at ranking the princesses in terms of agency, independence, heroism and other aspects to figure out which one of them is the most feminist. I'm trying to expand my écriture skills so this is gonna be divisé, split into three parts, starting with the bottom four.

This is my favori DP Song, it's such a beautiful song despite it's short length, many of the lyrics are lovely and Snow White's voice is so beautiful. This song always makes me emotional everytime I listen...

I'm not strictly doing these in chronological order, it's just a coincidence that I chose Ariel next. toi might think Ariel isn't a Mary Sue because of her obvious flaws that a lot people hate her for, but I think she still could be. Mary Sues can have flaws (hence why that trait doesn't just say "No flaws" and nothing else). So let's see.


Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- Sort of. Red hair is common enough, but her shade of red definitely isn't. .5
An odd name- Sort of. 'Ariel' is common enough par mermaid standards, but she's the only one of her siblings with a name not ending...

Since I've been a fan of this club, I never had been keen on Ariel even though she has a magical movie and she's the only mermaid in the lore. Some people débats over this but here's my opinion. par the way I think all the princesses are feminine, if they weren't they wouldn't be added to the lineup.

1.Tomboy/10.Girly Girl-Pocahontas
In my opinion, she's the most tomboyish. She's the only princess I'd describe as masculine. She climbs trees, she jumps off cliffs and she's very athletic. Pocahontas' playful and mischievious in a boyish way. She prefers to go off playing in the woods rather doing her people's equivalent of housework. The thing is, when Pocahontas does these tomboyish things, she's doing them par choice. All the rough stuff...

I don't know if it has anything to do with the 3D animation but I just don't find Rapunzel hot. She looks an 11 an old and she's supposed to be 18. And her face isn't all that great either, her eyes are too freaking large.

I guess we're not to supposed to find Snow White hot. She is only 14 but she looks a little older than that. Probably because she looks so tall compared to the dwarves. She's too cute and baby like to be hot. I like her...

This song is quick, simple, but very sweet. It shows toi don't need to have a lot of metaphors and poetic devices to convey what toi want. Ariel expresses her desire to become human so clearly and plainly in this song, just par the emotion and longing she conveys, and par just putting it into simple sentences.

As I mentioned in its first part that this article is for those princesses who got their wedding in original ou a sequel. I have re-imagined the gowns for all the princesses as honestly, I don't quite like the ones Disney has shown. The dresses lacks the effort as much as they deserve in my opinion. A princess wedding robe should be thoroughly thought through and designed. Cinderella's and Mulan's are par far the only wedding dress that actually fits their personality the most, in my opinion.
