Pocahontas was out helping her people gather nourriture early one morning when Nakoma ran up to her. "You shouldn't be working since you've had those frequent dizzy spells." she advised. "Nakoma, I feel fine. Besides, the tribe could use all the help around here." Pocahontas reassured. "Okay, but Kekata's got a close eye on you." Nakoma replied. "If I get dizzy again, I'll take a break." Pocahontas promised. The reason behind the dizzy spells? Pocahontas was pregnant!

"So, have toi told anyone else about the baby?" Nakoma asked. "I've told Mulan." Pocahontas answered. Nakoma was alittle surprised. "Only Mulan?" she asked. "Yes. I'm pretty frightened about how Merida will react." Pocahontas answered. "C'mon, Pocahontas. I'm sure she'll be over the moon for you!" Nakoma stated. "I can only hope." Pocahontas replied doubtfully.

Pocahontas knew Merida's rebellious side REALLY WELL. Even better than Mulan did! "She's just like John." Pocahontas said. "That's because she'll be 17 in a couple months." Nakoma playfully joked. John came par the field. "You shouldn't be working." he stated. "I think it's time for me to take a break." Pocahontas said. John had kept a sharp eye on her since she got pregnant, just like Kekata.

"So, you've only told Mulan?" John asked. "Yes." Pocahontas answered. "Don't worry about how Merida will react. She's a free spirit. If she DID react harshly, she wouldn't DARE montrer it." John reassured. "Well, maybe you're right. I think I might write a letter to her." Pocahontas replied. She and John reached their little hut. "Let me assist you." John a dit sweetly as Pocahontas was about to sit down. Pocahontas smiled.

Later that afternoon, Pocahontas wrote the letter to Merida. She was nervous about mailing it. "Don't worry. She's your friend." John told her. She put the letter in the mailbox. "I still don't know John. Merida is so wild, like you, and that's why Shang hates her." she said. John let out a small chuckle. "That's because he's so serious all the time." he a dit half-joking.

"John, he despises Merida with a passion." Pocahontas proclaimed. John cuffed her face in his hands. "Pocahontas, I want toi to listen to me clearly on this. Shang WILL warm up to Merida. Yes, it may take alittle plus time, but he'll warm up to her." John reassured. Pocahontas put her arm in his as they walked back to their hut. *I'm so lucky to have him!* she thought as she beamed silently. She and John enjoyed the nice walk back as the wind blew lightly. She was still worried about how Merida would react, but with John par her side, she knew she could wait.

Many people think Mulan (the movie) has the best citations of all princess movie, that and the fact it is Mulan mois gave me idea to start such countdown. In the beginning, there were about 70 citations I thought are important , I included about 40 in countdown and here are the best ten.

Out of these ten:
2 are from Shang
2 are from Fa Zhou
2 are from Emperor
and 4 are from Mulan

10. "Ping, toi are the craziest man I've ever met, and for that I owe toi my life. From now on, toi have my trust" by Shang

This is a dit after Mulan saved Shang and finally earned honor and respect for her deeds.However...

Aladdin: So here we were, early 1990's, and the Disney Renaissance was at its peek. The studios had produced two of the highest grossing animated films of all time and still were pushing on. However the team suffered a tragic loss with the death of lyricist Howard Ashman who surprisingly had had a large amount of creative input on the précédant two films. (He named Ariel) It was even his idea to make the suivant Disney animated feature, Aladdin released on November 25, 1992. However, much to the disappointment of many, this would be the last picture to showcase a royal fairytale princess for the...

Hello everybody, I just wanted to inform that this article is completely my personal option. There is absolutely no need to have a hissy fit if my opinion doesn’t conform to yours. Feel free to commentaire what your own ranking is if toi wish. Anyways, let’s get on with this ranking.

#14 Merida

“I’m a boy with long hair.”
“I’m a boy with long hair.”

Merida is one of the most hideous animated females ever. She just screams ugly, unfeminine and manliness. She is the epitome of what’s wrong with strong female characters (or just females in general). Her head shape is hideous and makes her look...

Hi!
I'm a huge fan of Rick Riordan's books, and I thought this would be an interesting idea! First of all, let me explain toi a bit: there are 20 cabins in Camp Half-Blood, each of them belongs to a god, and their demigod children live in their respective cabins. For example, Percy Jackson belongs in cabine #3 because he's a son of Poseidon, and Annabeth Chase belongs to cabine #6 since her mother is Athena. The 20 cabins are:
#1 – Zeus (king of the gods)
#2 – Hera (goddess of marriage and fidelity)
#3 – Poseidon (god of the sea)
#4 – Demeter (goddess of nature)
#5 – Ares (god of war)
#6 –...

1. The outside of the palace is inspired par the Taj Mahal.

3. Rajah is a tiger. tigres are a symbol of INDIA.

4. Lotus fountains (like the one we see when we're first introduced to Jasmine) are an Indian thing.

5. "Abu" is an Indian name.

People complaining about Naomi being cast as jasmin because she's Indian need to educate themselves.

If toi want a version of Aladin with jasmin being played par a Middle Eastern woman, then major in film and get a film degree. It's not Disney's job to please you.

As for the people complaining...

A fair number of Disney Princess DVDs were released in the early 2000's, and the series I'm most familiar with is the Princess Party line. To my knowledge, there were just two installments, both of which I apparently still own! These DVDs feature Disney Princess-related games, activities, and stories with the goal of helping to create a memorable DP-themed party for young girls. I first rented this disk from Blockbuster about a decade il y a just to check out the games, so I have a bit of nostalgia for it. But how well does the content on the DVD hold up? Let's take a look!

DVD Features

Look down there! It's a song analysis!
Look down there! It's a song analysis!
Greetings! I'm ApplesauceDoctr, and today I present my fourth song analysis. This time though (somewhat similar to my "Reflection" analysis), I'll be comparing two songs -- "So This is Love" and "Dancing on a Cloud," both of which come from Disney's Cinderella. "Dancing on a Cloud," the deleted song, was written with the intent of doing what "So This is Love" later did -- to montrer how Cendrillon and the prince fell in l’amour with each other at the ball. While the two seem similar at first, further examination shows that the two are a bit different, and it gives a better understanding of why "Dancing...

 The good ol' baddies
The good ol' baddies
Well, it's time for another article here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another article again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about Disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the Disney villains plus than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

Saw an old question posté from a an il y a that inspired me to write this. The question was about which Disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope toi guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this article ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in populaire culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Il était une fois Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," ou "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," ou "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...
