A lot of us have to wait till mid March ou longer for Midnight to come out. But I've seen tweets from people in Australia(where it was released today) who have the book about events and citations regarding DE.

WARNING: VERY SPOILERY

-Damon to Elena: "Will toi remember? Just that...I loved once, just once, really, in my whole life. Can toi remember that I loved you?"

-"There was no world for her if there was no Damon"

-Stefan apologizes for coming in between them, he didn't understand how much they loved each other.

-In the motel she held him all night because he didn't want to feel alone

-"'I want Damon back.' Elena hadn't heard quite this note in her voice since the jour shed been told both her parents had died."

-"Her hands wrenched aside curtains that she somehow knew were there and her skyrocketing cœur, coeur brought a name to her lips. 'Da-!'"

-"Damon was dead. Her head bent slowly until her forehead touched the glass."

-"In the end Damon had died to save Bonnie. Elena herself needed no plus proof of his feelings about her. She would always l’amour Damon, and she would never allow anything to diminish that love."

bratski2192 I cant believe all of the DE goodness weve gotten all in one week. Im looking forward to the next book as well as the next few TVD episodes. Over on vampire-diaries.net, someone posted a quote that mentions B loves Damon, but she didnt show the extent of pain & grief that Elena did when he died/s. The thing is, if Damon did love B, dont u think a dying man wouldve at least acknowledged that he loved twice in his life instead of once? How can it be hidden when Elena helped break him from his chains & all that? Anything else is irrelevant now that Damons one true love is Elena Gilbert. I havent been this excited about a book in a long time. DE books+show FTW!!!

In the March 15 Vampire Diaries episode — a flashback to 1912 — Freeman plays Sage, a bloodsucker with ties to the Originals, as well as Ian Somerhalder's Damon. "She [is] really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it," says Freeman, who says it "has been a dream to play a vampire" and that she was "jumping for joy" when she got the part. Sage will also resurface in modern-day Mystic Falls with a murky agenda. "She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself."

So I just read the tv Fanatic article about DE, and I saw a lot of SE fans saying otherwise, so I just gonna post this here.
Maybe it's my DE cœur, coeur but I do think Damon and Elena are the best couple ever.

Hey, if anyone was wondering what that collier looked like in the behind the scenes picture, I saw this image and thought maybe that it's this. I could be wrong, but toi never know. I found it in the TVD fan page. It could be Katherine's for all I know, but since we can't really make out the necklace's image that clearly, I thought that maybe this might be what Damon appears to be giving her.

If anyone has any theories ou plus information on this, let me know. I just came upon it today and thought, "Hey, maybe this is what Damon gave Elena." I'm going to try and see if I can gather plus information on it and then I'll let toi guys know what I come up with.

My answer was too long to fit in the question, so I've posté it here. Please note that this is purely my opinion and I do not wish to affend anyone. Enjoy.

At first, I had absolutely no idea why anyone would ship Bamon. However, that's because I always felt like Elena will always be number one for Damon and that that will never change. My opinion on this hasn't changed, but now I can at least understand why Bamon fans ship Bamon.

Why it would ruin Damon if he fell in l’amour with Bonnie

I do not intend to bash, but state FACTS about why Damon falling in l’amour with Bonnie would be a big mistake on the writers part.

So firstly, how long was Damon in l’amour with Katherine for?! Over 100 years! This is the first piece of proof we have that when Damon loves someone he really loves them, because he was willing to do anything for Katherine, even kill people (this isn't justified, but he was doing it for her), because Katherine was "in the tomb" and he wanted to get her out to be with her.
