In the Season 8 Episode "God Complex" What was the Plot Hole in Spencer and Maeve's Phone Call at the Beginning?

In an interview, writer Breen Fraizer a dit that in the phone call where we first meet Maeve (which would be "God Complex") there was a "plot hole that wasn't a plot hole" that is supposed to be relevant for a future episode. I've watched that scene over and over and I don't see what it is, can anybody fill me in?
