Do 21st-century era films such as The Princess and the Frog deserve the same respect amongst fans as classic/Renaissance Disney movies?

Disney not perfect, they can't always make mind blowing films all the time,They do still make amazing films though, like toy story trilogy, wall-e, Ratatouille, those films was one of the best movie in their an and I think in the suivant 10-20 years they can be labeled as great classic movies, but I don't think princess and the frog,tangled ou cars can be the same level as them, I'm sorry but those movie missing something special, maybe our grandchildren can see them as classic but that just because it was old movie in their eyes

What I consider classic Disney films are the films that make me feel like a kid again watching them. When I first sat down to watch The Princess and The Frog, I felt like I was 7 again. Same thing with Tangled, although I'd have like it plus if it were made in 2D style like the older movies. They don't have to be comédies musicales either, I l’amour Atlantis the Lost Empire.

I have never met a Disney movie I haven't fallen in l’amour with. Tangled, the Princess and the Frog, Cars? I don't understand how someone couldn't l’amour them. I smile like an idiot the whole time I watch them. I have a big family and all my little cousins l’amour these movies, I'm not little, I've been around for a while now and I l’amour thse movies. I'm disapointed Disney has discontinued their princess line, now I think they might start making some trash, if they are anything like the shows on Disney channel right now. I think Disney is making beautiful, enchanting, good old fashioned fun movies, and these new films deserve just as much respect as the Classics, because in my mind, they are Classics.

I l’amour most all Disney movies. I hold all Disney films in respect. I l’amour Raiponce and The Princess and the Frog. I think they were well done and utilized a new form of animation. I think that the 21st century era films are just as good as the classic/renaissance ones. There are films from both eras that could have been better. I personally am not crazy about Toy Story and some of the other Pixar films (but think they are good) and other ones I like a lot. I think the new upcoming film Rebelle looks really good. I think there are good and bad films regardless of time and company. I think it all has to do with personal choice and what toi think of the movies.

the films are horrible some shows they have aren't even their own but do to the quickly rising number of kingdom hearts fans(including Voltaire)

While Disney has had some great films since the Classics, they aren't classics to me. When I think Disney Classics I think Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, etc. The films I grew up on those are classics because if toi think about it they've been out for years and yet they are still as populaire as ever. Honestly if toi look at statistics The Princess and the Frog didn't make that much money, neither Tangled. Yet Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty continue to remain on top. Maybe one jour the newer Disney films will be classics but they just aren't there yet. But Disney is not going downhill, they are doing great.

Raiponce and The Princess and the Frog aren't classics. Yet, They may be some day, but for now it's not. It;s like books. After some amount of time, if people still have a place for them in their heart, they become a classic. I think if we just give them some time, they'll become classics.

Disney is not going downhill. It's just not producing as films as it used to. But the films they do put out are good. Disney is something that will live on well beyond any of us.

well the 21th centuy Disney films deserve respect. they are great movies, for the younger and the older generation. But in my opinion the Disney magic from the classic films is not there anymore. The precision and the l’amour behind the story is missing.

I think that if "Princess and the Frog" had been made and released say, 15 ou 20 years ago, it would have been plus successful and fit in perfectly with the hand-drawn films Disney was making at that time. Today, the target audience has grown up on Pixar. Part of it was marketing that made it less successful. I didn't like PotF quite as much as the Disney Renaissance films (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King) but part of it was plot related, not quality of animation. There was a lack of memorable songs, though. I think PotF does deserve respect, and would like to see plus animation like it in the future, princess ou not.

i think they do because films like atlantis:the Lost empire,lilo and stitch,treasure planet,the princess and the frog and Raiponce still have that magical Disney feeling.
