I only l’amour this version of Charlie and the chocolat Factory b/c of Johnny Depp who plays Willy Wonka (: Do toi agree? I mean could they have pulled this version off without him? Plz leave your comments, but plz be nice...

I like this movie for a few reasons

1. Johnny Depp is in it

2. Tim burton directed it

3. Danny Elfman did the music

4. I didn't really like the original. This movie was a fresh new aproach. (I l’amour the way Johnny gave Mr.Wonka a lonely/melancholy/downright creepy persona

This was a great movie all around.

I like it becuase

A) Johnny Depp. <3 Hottttttttttttttttttttttttt.

B) Tim burton directed.

C) It's fresh and new and better.

D) all of the above.

E) Johnny Depp.

as much as i l’amour johnny depp, and as brilliant as this performance in this film was, i still prefer gene wilder as willy wonky. he was the original, and totally embodied the character.

dont get me wrong, i l’amour this movie. it was completely different from the first, which made it not really a re-make.

a plus for this one is the chocolat river ACTUALLY looks chocolate. XD

I didn't like it at all, it was just plain childishly silly. Gene Wilder played Willy Wonka better than anyone eles could have. toi can't even compair the two.

I've never seen the other version of this movie so I cant really say, but I l’amour Johnny and the performance he gave was (as usual) absolutely terrific and amazing. I never would have seen it if he wasn't in it. I also i don't think it would have been as fresh if Tim hadn't directed it.

I think its half Johnny Depp and half Tim Burton. Johnny Depp is fantabulous as Willy Wonka of course but I still don't think it wouldn't so Roald Dahl-esque without Tim Burton. If it wasn't for Tim burton Johnny Depp would have just been a creepy weirdo (ok he still is creepy and weird but he's also amazing at the same time).

Only beloved Johnny could have pulled it off like he did! I hated the original version (the 60s):P

No,because Johnny is the whole meaning of this movie and without him it would be so uninteresting.
He is so beautiful and charming ispite the fact that in this movie he was 42 years old.

I think the only thing that was wrong with this movie was Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. What a joke.
