livres About the Two World Wars???

I have a pretty bad History teacher, so I'm basically having to figure out a lot of stuff about the worl wars par myself. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of simple-ish livres I could read to help me.
It would be great if they had information about Austrlia as well - I enjoyed A Rose for the Anzac Boys par Jackie Frech, for example.

Well, I would definitely suggest 'The Island on Bird Street' and 'Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl'

I'm not sure if this will help, but toi can try Leviathan par Scott Westerfeld for WWI. He changes it up a little bit, but it basically follows the history of WWI. It's about the the son of Franz Ferdinand, and people are trying to assassinate him. Then it's about a girl who is passing for a boy to fight for the British. But it's not exactly the same and the history bit is only fairly light... but I hope this helps!

All Quiet on the Western Front par Erich Maria Remarque is a classic and one that I read in class. It has lots of poetic language and is a real eye-opener as to the horrors of war (WW1). I recommend it.
