Can vampires eat nourriture as well? ou do they get sick?

They can avaler, hirondelle the nourriture but they won't digest it. Like in the first book when Edward ate a bite of Bella's pizza he had to cough it back up later. They all think nourriture it pretty gross too. (Like us eating dirt.)
