1.) Does The Beast have a real name? Do we get to know it? 2.) What is going on with the timeline?

i think u r realy misunderstood, but first of all let me tell u the beasts (or the prince) real name is (adam)


okay the rose will wilt when the prince become 21 not the rose wich means after 10 ten years, and when u say the prince was cursed when he was 11... it's true... i found that out when i saw B&B part 2 (enchanted christmas) they showed us that the prince was just a little boy between 10-12.. but unlike u i think it's cool......


par the way every time i wach the movie (be our guest) stay in my head too,and not only for one jour but for almost a weak.... :)

I asked a similar question about the Beast's name in the Disney club, but nobody answered it. Maybe because it's been asked here and I never checked it out.

I don't know the Beast's real name, so I'll go to number two.

I think the rose would bloom until the prince reached his 21st birthday, in his lifetime, not only as a beast.

And I don't believe the château was really Il était une fois for 10 years. Didn't we look at the beginning of the movie, there was shown a portrait of the prince? He already looked like a grown-up lad, maybe aged 17 ou 18.

In the stained-glass scene, when he refused the enchantress, he was shown as a young man too, not a 11-year-old boy.

About Lumiere chant Be Our Guest and saying 10 years under a spell, that was only a song.

1. The Beast was never donné an official name in the movie, but Disney animators for the movie have commenté on this and a dit while they were animating Human Beast, they called him Adam and so the fans started to call him that.

2. I'm pretty sure that it was 21 years of age. Positive.

Ok well to make it clear to toi the narrator says that the rose which the enchantress gave the beast would bloom until his 21st birthday and if he learns to l’amour and she will l’amour him in return the spell would be broken but if the woman he loves doesn't then the last petal of the rose will wilt and the beast will remain like that for all eternity.Also the setting for the movie i'd say could be either the 19th century ou the 18th century because the men in the movie have ponytails and the beast in human form has long hair so.

Personally I think he became immortal for 10 years ou something along those lines.

Okay sweets, the Prince was 11 yrs. old when the Enchantress put the spell on him and the castle. Lumiere says " 10 years we've been rusting". And it will bloom until his 21st yr ou he will remain a Beast. Well that didnt happen. Belle came along in time so he was 21 when the spell changed back. Because the narrator says " As the years passed he fell into dispare, for who could ever learn to l’amour a beast?"

He has no official name that Disney gave him that we know of. But the internet and Disney fans far and wide have dubbed him " Prince Adam". So if toi hear Adam, toi know its the prince form of the Beast.

2) Everyone is right and yet wrong. It IS until his 21st birthday... and YES.. he did get turned at 11... but Disney DID screw up.. because in the château toi see a picture of 21 an old beast in tatters in the west wing... so.. toi see why it's kind of confusing.

Second,here's my theory and again this is just a theory and not cold hard facts.
Ok yes it's true they a dit it would bloom on his 21st year. Well I was thinking maybe that means his 21st an bing in charge of the kingdom. I mean really think about it. His parents aren't in the picture so they must be dead. And let's just say that they died when he was 4 ou 5. WELL with that being a dit his "21st year" would make him 25 ou 26 not such a far fetched idea for a Disney prince i.e Flynn Rider and Prince Phillip. And also that would have made him 15 ou 16 when he was cursed,that's a little bit plus believable as far as that portrait is concerned. Again just my thoughts but I thought that could possibly the answer.
