With alchemy your limited to the law of conservation of mass and energy plus since we're dealing with Edwards alchemy your looking at mainly earth based attacks which wont do much good on a guy who can fly and move at speeds exceeding a homunculus and has you know the strength and/or power to destroy mountains and cities =.=

I always considered the Hollow form to be lazy god-mode writing

Edward never got any god-mode ability.

I'm gonna go with gamehot2 on this, Eds alchemy is pretty useless when Ichigo is in the air. Also with a flashstep Ed will be easily knocked down!
