animé Review: Yuri On Ice
First off I absolutly l’amour l’amour LOOOOVE this animé (which is pretty obvious). This montrer was so well written and organized. Each episode followed the one before perfectly. toi weren't left wondering what was going on ou having to watch the episode before over again to match up what was currently happening in the one toi were watching. toi were basically reminded what happened in the last one, and the story continued. At the end of each episode, there was a cliffhanger and toi were plesantly left wondering what would happen next. I -personally- would watch an episode and immediently click on the following one right after finishing up. But I would eventually have to force myself to stop watching it (Which would take A LOT of will power).
This series literally made my cœur, coeur pound within my chest. Each time I watched Yuri skate, i would be on the edge of my seat. And whenever he would slip ou fall on the ice i would yell out "NO!". This montrer just really gets toi going! I also loved how Victor didn't always say "You did your best Yuri and i loved it!". He politley pointed out Yuri's flaws and encouraged him to do better without praising him after every skate.
I loved how toi got to see what each skater in the competition feared and loved. toi got to see what pushed each skater to do better and to try their hardest! With Yuri is was Victor and his beloved Pork Cutlet Bowl. With Yurio is was to be the best (He tried his best because he wanted to basically BE the best --and he wanted to prove Victor's decision of choosing to be Yuri's Coach wrong. With Georgie, it was his ex-girlfriend. With Mickey it was his sister. With Chris it was Victor (He wanted to patin, patinage along side Victor again instead of Yuri). With JJ, it was basically his girlfriend and --just like Yurio-- to be famous. One other thing i loved about the skaters, was that they all were like...friends. Of course they wanted to destroy each other when it came to the or metal and who was gonna win, but they were all cool with each other when they were off of the rink. Like on episode 10. They all went out to dîner together and talked about old times, but then when Victor mentioned the or metal, they all were like "Imma kill you" (haha). Yeah, so i loved their relationships, and their determination.
