Yes, Adidas does stand for something but not for what toi wrote. Besides, Adidas is a German company which was founded there. Wouldn't make much sense, yes? The founder of Adidas was Adolf Dassler. And his nickname was "Adi". His nickname + first three letters of his surname = Adidas
