We highly doubt we need to remind you, but if you have somehow managed to miss it, 5 Seconds of Summer have announced their new album Sounds Good Feels Good is set to be released on October 23rd, and while we may only have a tracklisting and a snazzy trailer to keep us occupied until then, we\'re still more excited than a cat at a Whiskas convention.

Just to wet our whistle (that\'s a weird phrase) a little more while we think of what else we\'re hoping for from their new offering, 5SOS have been chatting about the process of writing said new album, and about falling in love in LA.

Sadly, not with us. A crying shame really, if only because we promise to provide an endless supply of chocolate digestives, tea and animal-shaped onesies.

Having a chinwag with Rolling Stone, Calum described their new album as a more \'mature\' statement, which makes us very much excited.

They also spoke of their excitement about working with Good Charlotte, Sum-41 and All Time Low\'s members on SGFG, with Mikey explaining: "It\'s really cool to see that [these artists] are supportive of a new wave of rock music.

"[Sum 41\'s Deryck Whibley] hasn\'t really done too many sessions before, so it was kind of amazing that he wanted to do one with us. He\'s a great guy, and Sum 41 is one of my favorite bands. All Killer No Filler is probably one of my top five favorite albums.

"If I said to myself a few years ago that Good Charlotte would want to make a record because of having a part in our record, I would just be like, \'That is the stupidest thing I\'ve ever heard\'."

Oh, and All Time Low even took some inspiration from 5SOS (INCREDIBLE), with Michael adding: "It\'s just weird that we can have that effect. I can\'t really explain it."

Talking about recording in LA, Ashton recalled how he found romance with Bryana Holly while they were there.

He revealed: "The place itself feels really magical. We made a lot of friends there. For songwriting purposes, it was a really great time for us. I even met a girl over there and fell in love. Things like that contributed to making this album. It felt unreal, and before we knew it, we\'d recorded everything and it was time to go on tour."
