Robin fiddled with the flashlight as it ran out of battery again.
"Any spare?" he asked. Roy handed him two batteries.
"You carry batteries around?" Wally asked preventing from giggling. Roy ignored him. As Robin fixed the flashlight they continued walking. They reached a dead end with a big wooden door.
"Do we go in?" Wally asked.
"Just get it over with!" Conner roared his hands covering his ears. Roy nodded and pushed open the door. A scratching, squeaking noise moaned the teenagers. Red couleurs swirled inside. They headed in the red room.
"They're taking too long!" Megan squealed looking at Kaldur.
"Yeah I don't want him I mean them to get hurt" Artemis blushed.
"They'll be fine. Just trust them" Kaldur headed into the bathroom. The girls sighed.
"Anyone up for Monopoly?" Zatanna asked.
"Me..." the other girls replied weakly. They started setting out the board game.
"It looks beautiful." Wally a dit his eyes locked at the red orb.
"Very" Robin gently put his hand on it. A swarm of warm feelings was swept through him. It felt so calming. Wally put his hand on it with warning seeing Robin looked hypnotized. He soon calmed down all maters of worries ou problems swept from his mind. Roy looked at the teenagers glancing back and forth, Wally then Robin. He simply shrugged and placed his hand on the orb. Conner collapsed to the ground ferociously covering his ears fighting and wishing the sound would go away. He looked up to see Wally drooling all over his chemise while Robin lent against the orb lifelessly his eyes closed, smiling as if he were sleeping and dreaming. Roy however could fight the pleasure of warmth and happiness he looked down at Conner.
"Put your hand on the orb" he a dit aloud followed par echoes. Conner had a blank mind of what the adult said. He raised an eyebrow at him.
"PUT YOUR HAND ON THE ORB!" plus louder but still Conner didn't understand. A screeching noise was heard above them rocks tumbled down but unfortunately stopped. Conner moaned.
"Your lucky I'm only human! ou else-" Roy didn't dare to finish his sentence. Conner looked as if he was being tortured. He grabbed his hand and placed it on the orb. The sound stopped. Conner felt calm, in peace, warmth swept through his body. He smiled at Roy.
"Thanks" was all he said.
"Your wel-" rocks tumbled down cutting Roy's sentence and he couldn't finish it. The room shook moans and cries echoed upon the room. The Heroes fell flat on their backs but hands still attached to the orb.
"We need to get out of here!" Robin yelled yanking Wally par the sleeve.
"Robins right!" Roy ran for the door but a sickening roar blast open the ground, Roy tumbling down, way down into empty darkness.
"NOOOO!" Conner dived for him surprised the sound didn't torture him. Grabbing him par Roy's hand he flew up dodging the rocks falling besides them. He pulled him suivant to the orb.
"Conner, you- toi can- fl-fly" Roy lifelessly said.
"I can..." Conner glanced at his hands. "But I don't feel any different and I'm not wearing Lex Luthor's patches he gave me that gives me full kriptonian powers" he revealed his arms moving his sleeve up.
"Lets just get out of here!" Robin yelled yanking Conner's chemise with his other hand. They ran out the door in the corridor they walked in and the turns they took. Robin knew where he was going. After taking a sharp turn to the left, the ceiling collapsed in front of them blocking their path.
"That was the only way!" Robin cried falling onto his knees. Cracks began to divisé, split open under the heroes. One par one the Heroes fell down heat as hot as lava under them. All they knew was...

Prologue-
Sam tripped falling flat on his face in the mud. He stumbled up and continued running. Behind him he could hear the sound of a horse's hooves in hot pursuit and a manteau billowing through the grass.
"Pick up!" he whispered hoarsely into his microphone.
A rope leapt out at his ankles and tripped him.causing him to fall again. The grain in the field he was surrounded in clung to him. Sam rolled over to see Reaper's head blocking the crimson moon above. Reaper cocked a gun and pointed it at Sam's face.
"And now I finish it." he said, and pulled the trigger.
