Mercy looked around at the team nervously. She closed her eyes and sighed, “I’m… I’m not who toi think I am. I didn’t come here to observe and rapporter for my team. In fact, plus than half of my team is dead. Murdered par 3 of the most psychotic people in the world, I would guess. But we did manage to kill one; the other 2, Brennan and Maura, somehow survived. We originally had 7 people on our team; only 4 of us are alive. Our team was divisé, split up and sent to different parts of the world, for protection. Caleb, one of my teammates, was sent to work with some group called S.T.A.R. My other teammate, Hailey, was put with Trinity Agents. And my last teammate, Silas, is undercover for some other team. And I… Landed with you.” She looked up from the floor to see the entire team, all watchful eyes on her. Her eyes then focused in on Kaldur, “One of the murderers after me was in my room not just an heure ago. That’s why I had to call Caleb; Brennan a dit something about him and Maura staying alive using something called energy transfer. Caleb is a very resourceful guy, and he can find info quickly.” Kaldur’s eyes widened. “I’ve heard of energy transfer!” Wally a dit suddenly. “I-I did research on it once!” He quickly sped off; and was back in a matter of secondes with a stack of papers in his hand. “Energy transfer is the transfer of energy-“ He was cut off par Artemis, “Yeah, we know that!” Wally rolled his eyes, “I wasn’t finished! Energy transfer is the transfer of energy from one object to another. It occurs in 4 ways, radiation, traveling of heat, convection, electrical, and mechanical. Without hesitation, she ran out of the room and slipped into her own room. Quickly she put on her olive green long sleeve and her even darker olive green jeans. Then she slipped on her gloves, boots, and utility belt, and ran out of the room. On her way out she bumped into Connor, who was obviously standing there so that he could block her path. The rest of the team stood behind him. “You’re really just going to get up and go?” Megan asked. Mercy took a few steps back and thought about that for a few seconds. “Yeah, you’re right. I guess I just do a lot of things par impulse. Anyways, it’s not like I’m just going to-“ Before she could get another word out she felt two hands emballage, wrap around her throat. She kicked and tried to scream, watching as the other members of the team were also up against other people who had managed to sneak into the mountain also. Eventually she swung her feet back and kicked off the mysterious person who had attempted to just now murder her. Turning around quickly, she saw who it was, “Brennan! We were just in the middle of an emotional scene! Can’t toi hunt me down and choke me some other time?” She shouted out in a taunting manner. He growled and lunged at her, both were going back and forth at each other in a fit of punches and kicks. Suddenly, Mercy stuck out her hand in front of Brennan’s face. “What are toi going to do, melt my head?” He taunted. “What do toi want?” She hissed. “It’s simple,” He a dit as a metal rod swung itself against the back of Mercy’s head and she fell to the ground unconscious, “You.” He finished, looking at the seven unconscious teens. Brennan reached into his pocket and pulled out a small walkie-talkie. “Did toi fulfill the mission?” A female voice emulated from the small device. “Done, and done. But what do I do with the extra 6 teens?” Brennan asked. “Leave them. But make sure that they know if they come after her, we kill her.” The voice responded. Brennan nodded.
