Chapter 9-
Electricity sparked from Alexa's fingers and the sûr, sans danger groaned open. Alexa looked around one plus time before turning back to the sûr, sans danger and walking in.
Before she could put a foot inside the sûr, sans danger though, she heard someone behind her.
"Impressive." a familiar voice said. "You only activated one alarm."
Alexa sighed and put her foot down. "And what alarm would that be?" she asked.
"The silent alarm that's triggered when the sûr, sans danger is opened without the right combination." Robin said, hopping down.
Alexa sighed again and turned around, stepping out of the sûr, sans danger and closing it.
"So what now?" she asked. "Are toi gonna arrest me?"
"No, I'd rather talk to you." Robin said, walking up to her, but keeping his distance.
"What about?" Alexa asked, folding her arms across her chest.
"This isn't what I broke toi out of jail to do." Robin said.
"I suppose that would be to rat out the Injustice League? I already sent the address to the Justice League." Alexa said, frowning.
"No!" Robin said. "I mean that's helpful, but that's not what I did it for. I did it for you."
Alexa raised an eyebrow under her mask.
"You deserve better!" Robin said. "You were raised in poverty, your parents died five years il y a which is when toi got your powers. toi didn't deserve it. toi deserved a normal life."
"Yeah." Alexa simply said.
"I know how toi feel." Robin said, taking her hand.
"No toi don't!" Alexa said, snatching her hand away from him.
Robin sighed and placed something on the ground. Alexa heard a slight fizzing and looked up to see all the cameras turning off. She turned back to Robin.
Robin reached up and slowly pulled his mask off to reveal tender, electric-blue eyes.
"You..." Alexa gasped, stepping back.
"See? I do trust toi and I do know what it feels like to lose everything." Dick Grayson said.
"But toi were adopted par a billionaire who is probably the Batman." Alexa said. "I was forced to live in an abandoned building."
"But-"
"There are no buts Robin!" Alexa exclaimed, turning back to him. Robin went to grab her hand, but she pulled on it and threw him across the room.
Robin gasped as the mur made contact with his back. Alexa walked over and tossed his mask to him.
"You are...determined. To leave me on the ground...every time we meet. Aren't you?" Robin asked.
Alexa frowned and for the seconde time in twenty four hours, disappeared from the Boy Wonder's sight.
Robin groaned as he stood up and walked outside. Batman was waiting for him on the roof across the street.
"So how did it go?" Batman asked.
Robin groaned. "Not very good. She didn't take anything, and she isn't with the IL anymore."
"But..." Batman said, knowing their was a 'but' coming.
"But she isn't going to stop either." Robin finished.
"Now she goes down like any other criminal." Batman said,
"Yeah," Robin said, shooting his grappling line across the street. "Any other criminal who knows our Identities."
With that the Boy Wonder was gone.
