They manage to recover Hades' casque and even though Marcus doesn't want to give it back because he wants to be with Xena, Marcus listens to her and finally does so making the right decision.
Atyminius manages to escape, so they decide to resume the chercher for him again the suivant day. When night falls, Marcus and Xena finally find the time to talk about their feelings.
While Gabrielle is waiting for Xena par the rive of the lake, Atyminius appears and decides to end her life. How will Xena react when she sees her friend in danger?
Marcus doesn't survive the Arrow and leaves Xena destroyed. Xena organises a funeral where she sings a beautiful song dedicated to the l’amour of her life.
Marcus discovers that Xena has betrayed him, but as a final act of kindness, touched par Xena's words, he is killed par Mezentius whilst trying to save the princess.
Marcus confesses to Xena that he tried to leave this world full of murderers and mercenaries, but he failed badly. However, Xena sees goodness in his words and she gives in to who was her lover as she still has feelings for him.
This one we really got to see how Xena used to be and how much she has changed. I really liked Marcus, but I am not at all surprised par his death. At least he went out like a hero.
