This is a short story a wrote a few months back :)

He woke up thinking it was just a dream, then reality hit him, it was not a dream at all, it was the truth. He fell to his knees and cried out to God, “Why did toi do this to me!” he then fell to the ground sobbing, his whole body was shaking, he wanted to numb the pain. After a while he got up slowly and walked to the refrigerator and pulled out a beer. He then moved to his canapé and turned on the TV, he did not watch it; he just needed something to drown out the silence. He took a sip of his beer, he had large bags under his eyes, his hair was a mess and his eyes were bloodshot, he self so empty. He finished the rest of his bière in one gulp and go up for another, he felt the alcohol start numb his pain, he cracked a smile as he gulped down another. He was soon numb of all pain and was passes out on the couch, when he awoke it was almost sunset, he sighed and moved to his bed, he opened the window and breathed in the fresh evening air. It was harm to his face even though it was the end of October, his phone rang and he ignored it, as he has done for weeks. He was lying in lit waiting for sleep to take him when a large bang was on the door, he waited for them to leave, but they never did. Regretfully he slowly moved to his door to open it. rayon, ray his best friend burst through the door.

“Vince, toi have to get out of this house!” He shouted closing the door while Vince got another bière and sat down at the cuisine table. He was fine in his house, why did he have to get out? He ignored his friend and takes little sips of his beer, while staring out the window. rayon, ray pulled up a siège suivant to him, “This isn’t good for you,” Vince shrugged not caring, he wanted to die, he had nothing left. “Why are toi doing this to yourself?” this made him turn and look at his friend,

“Because I can!” he snapped. But rayon, ray did not even flinch at Vince’s tone; he just stared at him with a worried look. Vince put his head on the table.
“Why don’t we go to a bar and get real beer?” Vince just shook his head no. rayon, ray sighed.

“I want to be alone! Just leave Ray!” He just wanted to pass out and have a dreamless sleep. But rayon, ray did not move, he just stared out the window waiting for Vince to give in. “I want to go to bed!” he scouted his head still on the table.

“You can go to lit after we get a drink,” he paused, “never mind the drink toi have had way to much. We can go to the Football game, the Jets are playing, I forgot who but, Gary can get us in for about 30 bucks, I’ll pay,” Vince though about it. He did not want to leave his house and he could watch the game on the TV.

“No, I’m not leaving my house. I don’t care if toi stay, but I’m going to bed,” he got up and walked into his room. He left the door open just because he was too lazy to close it, and flopped on the bed. He was out a few secondes after he got comfortable, and had another dreamless sleep.

He woke up with a huge hangover, as he made his way to the bathroom he was surprised to see rayon, ray sleeping on his couch. He shrugged it off and moved to the toilet were he threw up. It took him a while to push himself off the bathroom floor and into the kitchen. While he sat there he thought he was to young to be a widower, he was only 23 and his wife had been only 22, way to young to die. They were married only three months. He choked back tears; he did not want to accept the fact that she was gone forever but he knew he had too. He moved to the refrigerator to find that his bière was missing, he cussed, rayon, ray must have hid them. He got angry but let it pass and made coffee instead.

When Vince was on his seconde cup rayon, ray woke up, Vince glared him down. “Were is my beer?” he asked his voice full of anger.

“It’s all gone,” rayon, ray stared at him bored and tired.

“What do toi mean ‘its gone?’” rayon, ray chuckled

“I threw it out, to much of that is not good for you.” He was about to yell when he figured he could just go par plus later. rayon, ray moved and made a cup of coffee for himself and sat across from Vince. Annoyed Vince got up and walked to the door, “Where are toi going?”

“I want the paper” he walked out the door and down to the mailbox, he grabbed the newspaper but did not go back inside. Instead he went on a walk, he looked like death but he could care less. The cool morning breeze eased the pounding on his head and soothed his stomach. He did not know how long he walked but par the time he got back to his house, rayon, ray had left and he was alone again, he walked to the fridge but slammed it shut remembering rayon, ray had took all his beer. He through the paper and the table, tableau and went to the living room. As he leaned in the doorway he looked around, he stopped at the wedding picture hanging on the wall, and his wife was smiling bright, her hair, perfection. Her bright brown eyes stared at him with l’amour this made him break down. He slid down to the floor and but his face in his hands, he let the silent tears fall. Since the jour after the funeral everyone a dit for him to get out of the house and get over it. This always pissed him off, he was not going to get over this, it was his wife! He always a dit for them to shove it and stomped away. He needs time, three days it not time. Out of all his Friends and family rayon, ray was the only one that seamed to not push him into getting over it. Yes, he tried pushing him out of the house but that’s understandable. Even his own father a dit she was not worth the pain, now his dad has a nice broken nose. He has not heard from his mother ou father since.

He looked back at the picture, he remembered that day, and after they a dit ‘I Do’ and they were one there way to the reception that Amelia was so nervous about everything. She was always afraid of screwing up, but she did wonderful; their reception was the first time he ever danced with her. That was also the one night her father did not call him one single name ou criticizes him, Vince knew it was for Amelia, and he was happy with it. At the wake, Vince was standing suivant to Amelia’s dad, he a dit to Vince that, he was the right man for his daughter, hearing him say that mad Vince sob even longer. After the wake Amelia’s dad a dit to Vince that he was sorry for everything, the only reason he did not like Vince was because he was the one that took Amelia away from him. He cussed himself for not talking to her for a few months, and then they parted.

He had talked to her father a week ago, he called when Vince was sober, which was lucky for Vince because Mr. Adams hated drinking. They were talking about the few things he could keep of Amelia’s. All vince wanted was the pictures and her wedding ring, they last gift he gave her.

Vince sat on the floor crying, waiting to pass into unctuousness, but it never came. He then got up and turned on Amelia’s favori move, Titanic every time she watched this she would cry into his shirt, this time he was the one crying but not because of the movie.

I am from a dad who showed me l’amour –till I turned four
--A navy man with no plus room for me
To burned bridges with family, Friends and loved ones

From the chilly blue ocean, days spent at the golden beach,
And time spent hiding from the world

From days spent with despair and wishes for death
To days with unending laughter and forced smiles

The hopes of tomorrow being destroyed
And memories that become tarnished

From helping raise four younger siblings
And growing up too fast
To begging my friend not to die

From my tears, joy, and fears
To finding the Father who always loved me

From being too terrified...

As I gasp for breath while I drown the pain in morphine
While my cœur, coeur beats in tune with the rolling static hills on the metal screen
I lay on my deathbed reflecting on my life
I can say I had a good one although it was filled to the brim with tidal waves of hurt
I laughed in delight while running through the golden fields embracing the open skies and wearing a halo of warm sunshine
I climbed trees and swam in the salty émeraude sea
But Moma was always working hard at the le dîner, salle à manger filling out orders for sugary milkshakes and greasy fries
And brother Tim was always out too late fixing old radios who sang...

It’s raining on my window pane,
Inside this house looks so lame.
I’m so funny, so bored hunni.
Nothing much to do but to be a horn dog,
Being bored makes me write in my log.

Are we counting up ou down?
Nothing seems to go around.
Boredom, toi don’t like him.
Boredom, toi wanna shoot him.
Don’t make that move.

toi get in trouble when looking for fun,
toi get so tired when the jour is done.
Soon as toi get in bed,
toi remember what should be done instead.
Just forget the problem.

Get a goodnight sleep and dream.
Forget about the boring adventure,
toi should’ve discovered something in nature.
Boredom, forget them.
Boredom, sleep before the morning.
