Amerie sat at her table, staring at a young man who sat directly opposite from her. He wore a black suit with a black and white mask covering his face. She turned around to seek her best friend Jen, smiling at her. Amerie then turned back around to see that the man had disappeared. The feel of someones breath suddenly blew on her neck. As she turned around, she saw the man standing behind her with his hand out. "Would toi like to dance" asked the man politely. "I'd l’amour to" Amerie replied, taking his hand.
As they danced under the sparkle of the disco ball, the energy of the night was exstatic. Romance drifted through the room, as the man whisperred in Amerie's ear "May I ask what your name is?" he questioned, holding on to her tightly around the waist. "It's Amerie. And toi might be?" she replied, as she ran her fingers through his hair. "My name is Jason" he responded frantically. "Whats wrong. toi seem worried" she asked, curiously. "Quickly come this way. We should go outside" pleaded Jason as he grabbed Amerie's arm and pulled her across the ballroom out into the peak of night.
"Okay we're sûr, sans danger now" Jason a dit calmly. Amerie looked up at Jason and stared into his beautiful, brown eyes as she then noticed a black shadow standing right behind Jason. Amerie gasped and pointed her finger in the direction that Jason was in. As Jason turned around, another man appeared from the shadow and kicked him against the wall. While Jason tried getting up, the man picked Jason up par the front of his black veste and threw him across to the balcony bars. As Jason laid on the ground barely concious, the man walked over and pulled off a collier that was wrapped around his neck. Several secondes later, Jason's body turned into a large, brown hawk and flew off into the night sky. "He can't hurt toi now that he has no necklace" spoke the man as he stuck the collier into his back pocket. "He was gonna hurt me?" Amerie questioned as she stared in curiousity. The man rose his head and looked Amerie sharply in the eye before he walked into the darkness of the balcony and disappeared.

People down every turn
Pain inside their hearts
A girl with scars on her wrists
A boy with a couteau in his chest
She hides in the dark
Wondering when the pain with end
He stands up to fight in defense
Only to get knocked back down again
She fights with her parents
They don't wanna support the child
She's left to fend for herself in the cold
Alone with the child
Do we see what we are doing when we say the things we say?
Do we see who we are hurting with the actions that we're taking?
What we need
Are broken families reconciled
We need hearts to mend, scars to heal and battles to end
We. Need. Love
To stand up for the broken
We. Need. Hope
To give a hand to the hopeless
We need the world to care.
What are we doing with the words we are saying?
Who are we changing
And what effects are they having?
Lets be the change.

When will this end?
Mass shootings
Terrorist attacks
Police brutality
They say it's just a gun control problem
They say it cannot be fixed
I say the problem is deeper
I say there is hope
When will this end?
Income inequality
Veterans living on the streets, penniless,
Dying par their own hands everyday.
They say this world can change for the better
But nothing has changed...
And I truly do fear
Nothing ever will
When will l’amour start?
The jour we offer a hand to the fallen
Instead of cringing back in shock
And running away
When will our world change?
The jour we l’amour too much to kill
The jour others' pain is our pain
The jour we act instead of just talking about it
"It's impossible"
"We're too broken to be mended"
"It's a hopeless battle"
I say, let us try.
