About a an ago, when I was still new to living in Oxford, I had this bus driver. She was basically the female equivalent to the drill sergeant from Full Metal Jacket… ou basically, my mother, except, instead of some of the time, she was all the time. However, other than the fact that she really liked to yell at kids, she was always absent a lot. Every time she wouldn’t come to work, she would send her substitute, who was this very friendly elderly man. Shame the kids on the bus didn’t respect him though. So, one day, while I was waiting at the bus stop, and this time, I was with my brother and sister, we were waiting for the bus, as usual. Now, before I continue, I am just going to point out that before we got on the bus, our old substitute bus driver had retired the other day, so he was gone now. So, when our bus came five minutes late, we already knew it was a substitute. When the bus got to our stop, we saw that the bus driver was one of the most homeless looking people I had ever seen in my life. This guy had long white hair, a white beard, a bandana on his head, and a blue sleeveless vest (In the middle of winter, I should add). This guy looked like he just came from the 70s. God forbid he preaches to us about war and love. So, when we stepped onto the bus, we saw that there was no one else on the bus. So yeah, I had some thoughts that we just got kidnapped and are probably going to be turned into a suit for this guy. Thankfully though, this guy was a bus driver and had picked the other kids up. Un-thankfully (Is that a word), he had no fucking clue where to go. I’m not kidding, this guy took us on the most indirect routes possible, that you’d think he actually was a kidnapper. so, when we did go to school, we were twenty fucking minutes late to first period. How do toi fuck up that bad? Just how? Thankfully, that was the last substitute bus driver I had, and our usual bus driver was back to working and hasn’t taken a jour off since. Moral of the story, toi should never judge someone for how they look. Only judge them for how they act, especially if they suck at their job.
