Batman is one of my favori heroes. There are a lot of reasons why I l’amour Batman, but one reason is because I met him. Yes, Batman and I went on an adventure together. Well, that's sort of true.
Back in the day, there were personalized livres that parents could order that would insert their kids into the story. There was a Batman personalized book. It seems like my parents were wise enough to know that I'd l’amour Batman, because I received a Batman book that inserts me into the story.
The book was written par Melissa Peterson.
I will share the contents of the book in this article. I will leave out some sentences for time. The book uses my name, but for this article, I'll refer to myself in the first person.
Here's the story:
I looked out the taxicab window. I was very excited. All around me were the skyscrapers of Gotham City. Gotham was even bigger than I had imagined back at accueil with Granddad and Mommy.
I still couldn't believe that I had won the radio contest. The prize was a free trip to the Toy Tower, the world's biggest toy store!
As I was getting out of the cab, I noticed a delivery van speeding away from the store that had the words "Feline Movers" written on it. I caught a glimpse of the driver as the van passed. The driver was wearing a dark mask with pointy ears.
I wanted to play with the world-famous KAT-2000, a cat-shaped robot made just for kids. Toy Tower had the only one in the world!
But when I went inside, I learned that the KAT-2000 had been stolen. The police were looking for clues, but the thief had left no trace.
The store manager sighed. "We may never get the KAT-2000 back," she said.
"Don't be so sure of that," a dit a deep voice. Everyone turned to look. I couldn't believe it. Batman was here!
Just then, I remembered something important. I told Batman about the strange van that I had seen.
Batman asked, "The driver was wearing a dark mask with pointy ears?"
I said, "There's something else. I heard on TV that the KAT-2000 runs on a special kind of battery. Won't the thief need a supply of those?"
Batman answered, "Yes." He looked at me and asked, "Could toi identify that van if toi saw it again?" I nodded. Batman smiled and asked, "Would toi like to take a ride?"
I followed Batman to the Batmobile. I could hardly believe what was happening. I asked, "Where are we going?"
Batman said, "To the Supervolt Battery Factory. That's where the KAT-2000's battery pack is made. I have a feeling that you're right that the thief will have to stock up on special batteries, ou the robot will be useless."
The Batmobile zoomed through the streets of Gotham City. In no time at all, Batman and I reached the factory.
I said, "There it is!" The "Feline Movers" delivery van was parked outside the factory. A dark figure was chargement crates into the van. I saw the pointy ears of a mask and a dit to Batman, "That's the driver I saw."
Batman said, "Just as I suspected, it's Catwoman." He pointed to something shiny in the back of the van and said, "And there's the KAT-2000."
Batman leapt from the Batmobile and said, "Catwoman, it's all over."
Catwoman replied, "That's what toi think." She grabbed the KAT-2000 and ran. Batman threw his Batarang, winding a rope around her legs.
I yelled, "The KAT-2000 is going to fall!" I jumped out of the Batmobile and caught the KAT-2000 just before it hit the ground. The robot was safe.
Batman said, "Nice work."
Catwoman said, "I really wanted that robot. It's purr-fect for me."
I said, "I get it. You're a KAT burglar."
After getting home, I told Granddad and Mommy all about my exciting adventure. The police had arrived and arrested Catwoman. Batman slipped into the shadows.
The manager of Toy Tower was thrilled to get the KAT-2000 back. I finally got my tour of the toy store - with the amazing robot as my guide. And best of all, I got a postcard in the mail.
The postcard said,
"Thanks for your help solving the KAT-2000 crime. I couldn't have done it without you.
Sincerely,
Batman."
