I'm posting this pick for my dear friend Kristin. She ships Bangel/Delena and I ship Spuffy/Stelena and we get really annoyed when people compare BtVs couples to TVD couples and assume the ships go together. But mostly BtVs just PWNS. I like both Bangel and Spuffy 1000 times more than TVD which is still brand new.

Not really, because although all couples are unique, Spuffy and Delena are similar, and Stelena and Bangel are similar. Doesn't mean you have to ship DE and Spuffy or SE and Bangel but there ARE similarities. Bangel is the first love type and Spuffy is the bad boy/good girl type same with DE/SE.

They are NOT the same. The dynamics are different, the stories are different, the characters are different, the shows are different, etc, etc...

The fact that people constantly compare them annoys me to no end.

^Yeah I understand, it annoys me too when people assume you can't ship Jate from Lost and Delena in TVD.

People say you can't ship Jate and Delena? That's crazy?!? How are they even REMOTELY the same thing? HOW ANNOYING.

For starters Spike and Buffy hated each other for years, Damon has been obsessed with Elena from the get go!

Buffy and Angel took a season and a half to actually well finally get together!

If anything Bangel is closer to Delena!

But i ship Bangel not Spuffy and i think personally that Delena seems wrong in so many ways and that Stelena is boring! Actually i dont understand how two powerful vampires fall so much for this weak human!

BTVS does rule the vampire-human coupling, no other fiction has ever come close to being as awesome (yes twilight that includes you)

Also BTVS spaced everything out like things took years to happen! TVD seems to rush everystoryline! I mean Elena na dStefan met she found out he was a vampire and that they exsisted and then she lost her V to him like in the first 6 episodes was it!

When TVD first started I did compare them a bit, but now I completely agree with Kris, Kate, and Emma. :P

Couldn't care less . And I think that everybody can think everything he wants , he just has to respect others poeples minds which is very difficult this time .

These comparisons shouldn't annoy or bug you because those people who comment about comparing those couples...will not change who you like and why, so just forget about them,continue to ship which pairing(or pairings) you liked/love best. Respect people's opinions because you will come across a lot of people that may not see the same things you do(or vice versa)....you may never understand where there coming from but just respect their views and they need to respect yours. :) (Hopefully that made sense! lol)

THIS. BTVS>>>>>>>>>&g­t;&­gt;­>­;tv­d. C'mon Buffy is waaaaaay better than TVD and TVD coupling are NOTHING compared to the BTVS ones. I mean those two shows are so on different levels of quality and story that you can't compare the two of them. And I consider both Bangel and Spuffy's lovestories epic and I don't think I can say the same about SE and DE.

Just because there are vampires involved doesn't mean they have to be compared. I've never really watched BtVS but from what I've seen it is Nothing like The Vampire Diaries. Delena is my OTP so I think they are better then Any other couple but that's my personal opinion, I'm not going to argue about something to stupid. So people just need to stop comparing them, and bashing eachother's show/couple.

I am a HUGE lover of Spuffy and Delena, I like Stelena for the most part, and I shipped Bangel until I became an avid Cangel shipper...but really it doesn't bother me when people compare them because they are so vastly different I just ignore it. Besides it being one human girl and two vampire guys, one "good"/one "evil" the similarities kind of end there, for me anyway. So it doesn't get to me when other people compare them...everyone is entitled to their own opinion, after all.

No I mean seriously! WTH? I love BtVS ships as well as some of the TVD ones. I ship both Bangel&Spuffy but I don't and can never will be able to ship DE but SE is amazing to me.. Basically what nevermind606 said

Honestly never watched Vampire Diaries. Weird admission from a BTVS and ATS fan: I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. But I a honestly am not a big fan of vampires. They've always kinda bored me. I loved Spike though and Spuffy and I liked Angel/Cordy. So I can't really be a judge here.

To be honest, BtVs & Angel are the only vampire shows that appeal to me. I find shows like Vampire Diaries a bit...stupid, no offense to fans. I just never found the appeal...
