Alfea and the neighboring boys school, Red Fountain, prepare for a ball to begin the school year. However, Headmistress Griffon of Cloudtower plans to spoil the ball as revenge for being excluded. She picks The Trix's suggestion of replacing the magic egg gifts with snake-rat eggs. While Bloom prepares her dress for the ball, she spots the Trix casting a spell on the eggs, so she tells her friends, and they reverse the spell in time for the ball. Later Bloom spots the Trix trying to steal Stella's ring, and tries to fight them off, transforming in a fairy for the first time. Although the Trix are able to escape, the other Winx girls inform Bloom that Stella's ring is sûr, sans danger and that they swapped the contents of the case with a baby canard (Pepe) that bonds with Icy.

In a world like this toi can’t trust anyone, ou anything. I mean, toi can give them a chance if toi dare but they’re 99.99% gonna be dark inside. Just hiding it behind a wall. Everyone pretty much knows this and don’t even give any chances anymore. The people we think are pure like that of snow eventually reveal themselves to be as dark as they come....

“Did toi not know that it’s all a lie?”

It was the seconde time Icy heard that same message. That jour anyhow. If she had to count the exact total…well she just wouldn’t be able to.

And the worst part was, she had no clue why people kept telling her this. At the start of the week it was a waitress at the restaurant she, Darcy, and Stormy ate at. And then it was one of her old classmates. And soon it was just aléatoire passerbys. And so Icy would zone them out.

She had better ways to spend her time than listening to them squawk. She had a school to destroy and a planet to conquer. And conquer...
