Chapter Twelve
Helia and I stayed still in the bushes not wanting to be caught. I watched my sister as she got up and headed our way. Once she was close enough, Helia grabbed her and we told her to be quiet. Flora’s p.o.v
I saw Helia standing there in a navy blue button down, sports coat, and slacks. He blushed as he a dit you look lovely my flower as he kissed my forehead. I told him you look nice too as I fixed his slightly crooked tie. He laughed and held out his arm for me as we walked down the stairs together to a horse drawn carriage waiting for the both of us. It took us down the cobblestone path to a small café. At arrival I squealed because we had our first official rendez-vous amoureux, date here and it brought back so many memories. He held out his hand for me as I stepped out of the carriage. We went inside and sat par the fountain. The night was already amazing even though we had just order. Once the dance floor was open, he pulled out my chair for me and took me to the center to dance to If I Never Knew You it was the first song we ever danced to together. I was feeling so lucky to have him in my life. Towards the end of the song the musique died down after the applause, which was when he told me Flora, I l’amour you. I always have and always will. I l’amour everything about toi and when toi are par my side I feel like I can do anything. So Princess Flora of Linphea will toi marry me? I felt my hear race as he knelt to the ground on those last few words while opening a black box, and all of the people in the room gasped. He then slid the ring onto my finger and pulled me close to Kiss him and the room was filled with applause, congratulations and cheers to us. We walked back to our table. I couldn’t believe how many memories he had recreated tonight to lead up to this new one. We ate our dîner with smiles on our face until the carriage came to take us back to the palace.
