Ian Somerhalder: Caroline’s ‘Vampire Diaries’ Baby Could Be Damon’s — Watch

This whole vampire baby thing may be getting a little out of hand. In a new interview on the set of ‘Vampire Diaries,’ Ian Somerhalder asked why everyone was assuming that Caroline’s maybe-baby would be Stefan’s — you have to watch this video.

Just days after Candice Accola announced that she was pregnant with her first child, the actress headed back to 

for some set visits by multiple outlets — and everyone wanted to know what the plans were for the baby on set. While I’m partial to bringing Klaus (Joseph Morgan) back to have a vampire baby, many think it will be a Steroline baby. But what about Damon? Watch this hysterical interview here.

“Why does it have to be Stefan? Maybe it’s Damon,” Ian Somerhalder told E! in a new interview. “Damon gets around. Even though Damon’s waiting or Elena, she is a candidate. She was one of Elena’s best friends, and you know, those things happen.” Naturally, he was joking but he does make a good point — it could be anyone!

with Stefan, “they’d be very quick parents” since they have “vamp speed” for diaper changed. “I don’t know if they’d compel a baby not to cry?” she asked. “I don’t know if that’s cool for vampire parents to do.”

Steroline’s Dynamic ‘Much Better’ Than Most

Paul Wesley) is pretty sure they’d be hands off. “They’d send him to private boarding school way far away so they never had to deal with him,” he said of that theoretical baby. As for Steroline’s relationship, he says their dynamic is “much better than most people in America. Divorce rates, they’re high.”
