A bad start for season 3?

salut guys,
I have been obsessed with the vampire diaries for like ever and I was so excited for this season to start! However, after watching the first and seconde episodes, it felt kind of boring for some reason. I think that the whole season 3 is meant to have a plus upbeat and less of a gothique and dark atmosphere, like season 2, but for some reason I don't feel the same spark and passion and i guess, epicness that season 2 really had. i have also heard about the ratings and number of viewers plummet and so i feel like i'm not the only one who thinks that there's something missing. I noticed that I am losing interest in the show, because I forgot about the new 'hybrid' 3x02 episode that premiered on thursday, so i watched it later over the weekend on dvr.

Initially Kevin Williamson had little interest in developing the series, finding the premise too similar to other vampire tales. However, at Julie Plec's urging, he began to read the novels and started to become intrigued par the story: "I began to realize that it was a story about a small town, about that town's underbelly and about what lurks under the surface."Williamson has stated the town's story will be the main focus of the series, rather than high school.

Reasons why we l’amour and don't l’amour Damon

1. He's extremely charming....in a dangerous, cool kinda way. :)
2. toi start to really hate him when he does stuff to Stefan but then he turns around and shows us just how much that he truly loves Elena... but I will say STEFAN AND ELENA ALL THE WAY!
3. He can be a pain sometimes but he cant really hurt Stefan b-cuz he promised Elena. And he always does his smile that drops everyone dead.
4. Damon why we can l’amour him, he was just as damaged from Katherine's death as Stefan;
5. Although he deceives people, he is realistic about his place in the world. He has embraced being a vampire not trying...
