Danila on Skyping with Mark Waters (on auditioning for VA):
“I showed him two scenes from Richelle’s 1st book. The first scene is how real a Dhampir must kill a Strigoi. I showed him some gestures and read the text. The seconde scene was about how Dimitri first understood he was falling for Roza. I must montrer how I see her (Roza), what i’m thinking, how i’m looking at her, what i’m thinking about her.”
Danila on his Vampire Academy Movie partners:
“All the guys are so young (i repeat: so young!) But all of them are incredibly talented. They (Dominic & Lucy) are big professionals but they’re funny too. They made my hard work easier because both have a great sense of humor. There were a lot of joke and laugh during the shooting. They (Dominic & Lucy) helped me with my adaptation very much! She (Zoey Deutch) works so much and so hard! She had only one jour off on this shooting, but i never heard complaints from her.”
Danila on Mark Waters:
“He is a super professional! Mega professional! I got a huge irreplaceable experience during our work! I repeated and will repeat: I’m lucky i had the chance to work with him.”
Danila on Richelle Mead:
“I must say my personal thanks to this amazing writer and woman. She created a very interesting character: Dimitri. She allowed him to fall in love, to l’amour and to protect those he loves! He’s a gentleman and i really appreciate it! Thank you, Richelle!”

Strigoi
Strigoi are vampires that distinguish from Moroi in many ways. They are undead, and they are made and not born. While Moroi are very pale, the Strigoi’s skin is chalky white and they have a red ring around their pupils. They no longer have a “moral” personality and while they now have immortality, their personality changes into something vain, cruel, and sadistic with no feelings. All Strigoi have skin that will burn if placed in sunlight. A Strigoi’s thirst for blood is stronger then a Moroi’s is for human blood, but can be satiated with human, Dhampir ou Moroi blood. Moroi blood however is what they truly crave and desire the most since it is Moroi blood that gives them so much power.

Indigo Spell
“When Moroi help make the blood ink, the earth users put in the compulsion that prevents toi from discussing vampires. That earth magic is in harmony with the other three physical elements: air, water, and fire. That harmony gives the tattoo its power. Now, if toi can get a hold of Charmed ink and have a Moroi undo the earth magic in it, that’ll shatter the bond with the other elements and kill any compulsion locked in. Inject that ‘broken’ ink into your tattoo, and it breaks the harmony of your elements as well—which in turn breaks any suggestions the Alchemists put in.”
