Hunger Games Question

(movie and book spoiler!)

SENECA CRANE
well, at the start of catching feu president snow visits katniss and tells her that Seneca grue, crane was executed.
and
In the movie, Seneca grue, crane walks into that room at the end which contains only a bowl of Nightlock berries. did anyone else except me get that he has to kill himself par eating them. I was horrified and pretty much yelled
'that's sick!'
in the middle of the cinema, but no one else seemed to understand that I seemed to be the only one who had a reaction to president snow's psychotic, evil, repusively sick mind except me and my friend
(though i don't know what everyone else thought, i mean, seriously people!, he wouldnt be sent into a room to just 'look' at some berries would he?!).
did any of toi understand that that was what was going on ou was it just us?

Hey! Once I saw the berries in the bowl I thought the very same thing! He had to eat them to kill himself...

My family told me it didn't make any sense that he just walked into the room to, as toi said, LOOK at the berries. They were confused but at the same time I knew EXACTLY what was going on.

So yeah, I agree with you!!!

I understood only because it was explained when Katniss and Peeta almost ate the berries. I am new to the" Hunger Games". Being that it is based on greek mythology it doesnot really shock ou surpise me.

mainly on Roman mythology. but Greek also. toi should read the livres they are far plus detailed than the film though the film was fairly accurate, however they did omit many of the jokey scenes because they didn't want it to become a comedy the messages behind it are too important to be overlooked. any questions toi have about the film (or livres when toi read them) then i will most likely know the answer, i've seen the film a couple of times and have read and re-read the livres over and over, 'i just l’amour them' :)

It's actually pretty simple to understand.

:) i suppose toi would only know he died if you'd read the seconde book, but still, you'd think some other people would have been able to work out that seneca grue, crane wasnt just put in a room with a bowl of night lock berries for fun :)

i understood it too, i think that was genius of the movie to montrer that! it was just so dramatic, and yes, you're right, it is REALLY SICK of President Snow to force Seneca grue, crane to eat those nightlock berries.

it was genius. i just cant belive everyone didnt get it, the only way they could have made it plus obvious would be for epresident snow to spoon feed him

i get what toi mean about him being a 'nice villain' . Seneca grue, crane is sort of likeable though partly because of his amazing beard (which shall go down in history) but toi have to remember that he is (sorry, WAS) Snow's right hand mad, so to speak, and toi can't really call him 'nice'. and after the scene montrer him getting the mutts ready and he says 'Excellent', well, that one word just sounded a bit creepy and definitely villainous, that's where we see that he is in fact no better than any of the other capitol citizens(with the exception of Cinna)

before we watched the film, my friend and i suspected that they would montrer senecas death because otherwise poeple might forget par the suivant film if they only mentioned it like they do in the seconde book when Snow visits Katniss. and so when he was escorted to the room my friend and i looked at each other as if to say 'yup, he's dead'

I knew what was going on the minute I saw that bowl on the table, and like you, I felt sick about it. But my sister and cousin didn't get it - they thought that Katniss had left him the berries as a way of bragging, like "Haha, toi tried to kill me and toi failed." I was like, "No you, guys, President Snow is making him kill himself! That's how heinous and petty he is."

I think they definitely should have made it clearer to the audience, though, since so many haven't read the books. It's a lot easier to see how cruel Snow is in the book since there's plus time to cover it, but he was just barely in the film. They could have added a little note beside the berries with Snow's signature just to clarify what was going on.

Yeah, I understand. His mistake was letting them both win, instead of no victor. He made the Capitol seem weak with Katniss's act of rebellion. He was forced to kill himself. par locking the door and the only nourriture was the nightlock berries, he could choose to die of starvation ou eat the berries and have a quicker death. Either way, he was going to die. This way, the mistake would never happen again, but of course in Mockingjay (MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!) Katniss and others take down the Capitol and the Hunger Games never happen again. :)
