Hey, toi guys. I just wanted to write my review of how The Glee Project is going so far.
First of all, all of the songs are done justice to me. Everyone on the show--both seasons--have extremely amazing voices. I don't doubt anyone's vocal range ou anything.
As of right now, I'm...well, really annoyed. Three of my favori contenders (Dani, Charlie, and Nellie) all got eliminated. It's been a while since I've seen "America's Got Talent" with Dani Shay. She was amazing. And all those who looks like Justin Bieber, followed par a dusgusted scoff, then...well, I have nothing to say to you. Just stop the bashing, that's all. Charlie, I l’amour him to death. He literally steals every scene in each episode with his quirkiness and his relationship with the wonderful, Aylin Bayramoglu. I swear, he's freakin' amazing. Too bad he didn't make it as far as he should. I would've loved to see him in a plot related to Cory's character, Finn Hudson. And Nellie...oh, sweet Nellie. Yeah, I know. toi all are crying in your chairs ou wherever, wanting this girl to make it to the end, but cursed Ryan out for eliminating her. That's life, people. I'm sick of it, too, but toi know...
Now, let's dig a little deeper. Eye of the Tiger. Great song. TGP obviously did it justice to me. The vocals were amazing. The fact that Aylin can jump all those hurdles, Michael can jump through one tire, Abraham can hop in all of those other tires, and everyone lifting Ali at the end. Pure genius. I'd never think of them doing a one-take video. Awesome. Now for the downside. YouTube. YouTube is a b*tch, and I'm not lying. As I speak, the video for "Eye of the Tiger" has over 1,200 dislikes. This has got to be the most dislikes a GP video has ever had. I mean, seriously. I saw nothing wrong with this. However, the users on YouTube have a problem with it, specifically with two things.
1. Nellie was nowhere to be seen ou heard.
2. The video itself just sucked.
All I'm thinking is...what the hell? Like, for real. This didn't suck. It was perfect. I mean, I wouldn't choose this over "Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure" from season 1, but I really loved it. Other people have a problem with it.
And why do they have a problem with it? The contenders left behind...or at least the contenders that were left behind. Yes, I mean Nellie. I l’amour her to death. She's sweet and amazing. I wouldn't expect anything plus (except the confidence thing they've been stressing on her all this time). But...come on, people. Everyone gets eliminated on TGP at some point, even if it was a little mistake like Marissa's elimination from last year. Charlie kept returning to the bottom, so they had to take him out at some point, too...sadly.
Also, the part where I say "the contenders left behind"...I specifically mean contenders like Lily who get hate smashed in their faces. There are not only hate commentaires for Lily, but there are some hate commentaires for other contenders (Aylin, Ali, etc.). Most of them are targeted towards Lily, though. Why? Either something to do with her attitude in the last episode, ou her trying to be tenacious in "Eye of the Tiger". Look, we all have an attitude at some point in our life. Is it our fault? Partly because we can't control it sometimes. But we're all constantly fighting for something. In this case, Lily is fighting for a spot on Glee. Is that her fault? No. Sure, she kinda yelled at the mentors, but she's determined for that role. toi would be, too, if toi were stuck in Lily's place. Not only that, but that's how reality TV likes to éditer people. I mean, look at Lindsay Pearce and Alex Newell from last season. They basically cut their funny, friendly scenes out, and kept the ones where they were jouer la comédie cocky and b*tchy at some points. I'm not calling them that; I'm just saying. I'm not the head of reality TV, but I know how they handle things in that department.
Speaking of that one incident, there are people saying that she should've gotten eliminated before Nellie. For what reason? She hasn't been in the bottom since, like, "Vulnerability" week. She was obviously doing something right. However, Nellie had to return a few times due to her confidence. I'm not blaming anyone, but she really needed to work on that. And for toi guys to sit there and be mean to Lily? Come on. She puts her all into it like everyone else. toi guys are just upset because of one elimination. Does that give toi the right to bash Lily? We have a right to speak our mind, but not negatively. If toi don't have anything good to say, don't say it at all! It's not that hard.
All in all, I hope for plus good to come out of the last few episodes of TGP. We've had hard runs, but we've past them. We can déplacer on now. And as for Lily, I hope whether toi win ou not, toi still get to do amazing things no matter what anyone says.
