We last spoke of Addison when she was on her first hunt. Midnight's siblings were setting feu to the field. Addi is good as gone and passes out from all the smoke.

But what's this? A dog? Yes, a black Labrador! He pulls Addison onto his back and carries her beyond the flame's reach. They fall into the river, and he pulls her onto the bank.
"(cough cough) Where am I? What happened?"
"Don't worry. You're safe, in the Fourtrees" (BTW the Fourtrees are a special part of Kyk and Roete's territory where they meet with other packs)
"Fourtrees? No! Why did toi bring me- Who do toi think toi are?"

Long ago, when all loups lived together, a cat appeared to the four alphas who kept the loups united. He told them they would each have their own pack. So they did. Three of the alphas, River, Terra, and Flame, each took some of the great pack and divisé, split them to three territories. River took the white-coated ones to the mountains. Terra took the coyotes to the forest. Flame took the hybrids -the loups with domestic dog DNA- to a shifting forest that placed them across the area.
