It starts out typical post-apocalyptic cheese (complete with a kid that couldn't act if he had gun pointed at his head), but improves with each episode, thanks in large part to until about half way through when you realize this shit is pretty damn good. Wait for Pope, he makes every godawful cheesy moment worth it.

Also The Walking Dead.

Fringe is the only show in the world that anyone needs to watch, and that is my totally unbiased, professional opinion not at all swayed by my intense obsession with it.

I watched Fringe during July and I'm still mind fucked. Brilliant.

Fringe is a show everybody should HAVE to watch, why it doesn't have more viewers I do not know. Also Firefly, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire and Falling Skies.

IT's short but brill, amazing for humour.

Once your finished you can move on to Fringe which is my favourite show! I just started and finished watching Falling Skies yesterday - it's awesome.

yes, yes, yes! watch it! it's really great and imo it only gets better (though the last half of s3 is very polarized). Out of the others I only watch Firefly and I think I've read you saying you don't like Joss Whedon shows? So that's why I'm saying watch Fringe first maybe you can catch up in time for s4. But you should definitely give Firefly a try, it's amazing!

^I think the only Whedon stuff I've tried is Buffy (couldn't get into it) and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (loved it). I'm sure Firefly will get watched eventually - most of these will, probably. =P

Fringe is the only show i watch

Firefly isn't for everyone...but I'd highly recommend it if you're willing to give it a try. I haven't seen any of the others, besides a few episodes of Fringe. I couldn't get into that one. Didn't like the characters.
