Players joke that Taylor rapide, swift concert caused Nationals Park lighting issues

Friday night was not a good night at Nationals Park in Washington.

The anticipated series opener between the Dodgers and Nationals was marred by electrical problems and eventually suspended in the sixth inning as a result.

On three separate occasions, a light bank above the third base dugout malfunctioned, causing insufficient lighting around the home plate area. As is customary in baseball, the third strike was the final one. That game is slated to resume on Saturday at 2:05 p.m. ET with Washington leading 3-2. The regularly scheduled game will follow at 4:05 p.m., and we\'re guessing all parties are hoping for a conclusion before the lights are needed.

Of course, the reoccurring issue was the source of much frustration on Friday. Many fans and players alike were looking for answers as to the cause, because things like this just don\'t happen at professional sporting events. And it seems as though All-Stars Joc Pederson and Max Scherzer have narrowed it down to one theory.

It\'s true. The music superstar did hold concerts at Nationals Park on Monday and Tuesday with baseball away for the All-Star break.

And it\'s entirely possible she\'s the culprit. But there\'s no sense blaming her. She\'s going to shake it off and move on to the next show while you stand around in the dark. 

Anyway, one other theory that is much more believable was shared by Bryce Harper.
