[OSEN=이혜린 기자] In the midst of the sensational wave brought on par BIGBANG’s TAEYANG with his solo choreography video of ‘Ringa Linga,’ YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk extolled his artist par commenting, “I watched this video plus than a hundred times.”
Yang delivered this commentaire to OSEN on Nov 9, “The video is just so awesome that I watch it over and over again every single day.”
Such commentaire is drawing huge attention because it comes from Yang Hyun Suk, who had been dubbed the ‘dancer of the era’ in the 1990’s and the core player who choreographed every déplacer for the extremely famous Seotaeji and Boys.
The video with TAEYANG’s choreography was filmed in L.A., joined par 12 top-notch dancers in the United States. Each déplacer displays a highly meticulous and powerful aspect of the choreography.
The latest choreography was a work par the leader of ReQuest Dance Crew, Parris Goebel, the winner of World Hip-hop Dance Championship. Goebel is a renowned dancer who worked with Jennifer Lopez on her Dance Again World Tour last year, and is the ‘hot’ choreographer in the country.
Yang explained, “This video shows America’s haut, retour au début dancers. The choreographer in particular, Goebel, is someone who changed the entire paradigm and the trend of choreography in the world. He is the top. This is why I sent TAEYANG to the States to complete the choreography for his new song.”
Goebel, after being asked par YG Entertainment to choreograph TAEYANG’s new song ‘Ringa Linga’ in October, watched TAEYANG’s performances on YouTube. He was absolutely impressed par TAEYANG, and made time to visit LA to meet with TAEYANG, despite his work in Canada. He was highly enthusiastic about finishing up TAEYANG’s choreography.
And Yang is equally impressed par TAEYANG’s dance skills. He commented, “In the video, TAEYANG boasts a dance skill that no foreign solo artists could rival. It’s very high quality. But what’s plus amazing is that he is dancing with the world’s haut, retour au début dancers, and he does not lag behind—instead, he seems to be standing out even more.”
Goebel, before embarking his journey with TAEYANG, also commented, “Frankly I was very surprised with his dance skills. He is simply awesome,” and added, “He spared no effort in learning the choreography, and he is a great person to work with as a partner.”
Until now, TAEYANG was known for his gentle, mellow R&B genre through songs like ‘Only Look At Me’, ‘Wedding Dress’ and ‘I Need a Girl’, but this time he is here to capture the attention of people par unveiling a hip-hop beat song with a remarkably powerful dance moves in the new ‘Ringa Linga.”
The much-anticipated song and performance will be unveiled on SBS’s Inkigayo on Nov 10.
