zanhar1 picked I can’t tell toi how glad I am that people haven’t sexualized Sharon’s nude:
I hear a lot of people say that Nightwish is no longer that good and has lost their essence from Once onwards but I do believe that was when their sound started to mature and become more original and diverse. I can’t get into their old stuff because I find it too generic and repetitive.

It took me a while to get into Sharon’s voice because her timbre is incredibly similar to that of a singer named Sandy Leah, whose crappy songs I had to grow up with. For a long time I would listen to Within Temptation and all I would hear was Sandy.

I can’t tell you how glad I am that people haven’t sexualized Sharon’s nude photo. The shot was taken in good taste and I’m glad that (so far, as I’ve seen) it’s been viewed in good taste rather than for some sex-fantasy. I have nothing against sex or anything but not everything has to be sexualized if that makes sense.

I wonder what a Leaves Eyes’ and Within Temptation collaboration would be like…

There’s so many singers that I want to hear sing “The Phantom of the Opera”. In my mind, Østen Bergøy would be the perfect Phantom but Roy Khan would be awesome too. And if Østen Bergøy was the Phantom, then Vibeke Stene would have to be Christine because their voices are perfect together. I’d also love to hear Simone Simons play Christine, but I also think that Dianne Van Giersbergen may be only one that can do it perfectly (no offense to the other female symphonic metal singers but that last note is a killer!)

I don’t care what critics say, I am a massive fan of Xandria’s Meatloaf cover. “I Would Do Anything For Love” is the first metal song I ever loved, from the first day I heard it all the way back in the second grade. For me, it’s an incredible piece of nostalgia and I love that Xandria has performed this beautiful musical cheese ball!

I think using the word pretentious has become far too prevalent around here. It seems to get thrown around every time someone wants to criticize an artist that they don’t like.

Amaranthe’s music has so much positive energy. It’s great for workouts. Or just for jumping or dancing and headbanging around my room.

I used to love WT and Epica.. And then I saw them live. With Simone, I’m pretty sure she was off-key because she was pregnant back then. With Sharon.. idk. The fact of the matter is, since I’ve heard them sing off-key live, I can’t stand them anymore

I don’t know if this is just me, but I think Dianne from Xandria looks so much like Demi Lovato.

I’m having second thoughts about Revolver. I mainly bought this year’s Hottest Chicks issue just to read about Lizzy Hale, which was a really great interview. Other than that, it was just distasteful that the other women on that list talked about sexual stuff and less about their music. Plus these assholes gave Kamelot’s new album only three stars…are you kidding me?! I would award Haven as the best album of 2015 for pete’s sake! I think these editors need their heads checked.

Does anyone else finds it kinda weird that Tuomas wrote a bazillion songs about wanting to sleep with Tarja in the past and not a single song about his girlfriend nowadays? If I were Johanna I’d be worried.

Outta this house, be gone evil spirits!

Also "Haven" was a fantastic album so only 3/5 stars is disgraceful.

Phantom of the Opera
I heard many covers of this song.
Other than Sarah Brightman's performance of it which is breathtaking, I like Tarja's cover the most.
Would love to see Dianne or Simone do it.
