I haven’t seen anyone mention Angtoria on here. I know they’re disbanded now, but man was that an amazing band. Sarah Jezebel Deva is a metal goddess.

All the Nightwish drama has really made me dislike the band. I don’t even feel like listening to their music anymore, which is a shame because I used to love it (both with Tarja and Anette).

I’ve just learned to ignore the drama regarding Anette. I’ve decided not to read the interviews, regardless of whether I agree with her or not. I’m not going to let someone’s opinion and/or her personal image distort my love for her voice and talent.

To 5647: Anette stated her reasons for not talking about her departure from Nightwish. Now that the dust is settled, she feels comforting sharing her side of the story, because everyone was dying to know what really happened and some of the rumors people were spreading about it were even worse than the boy’s side of the story. Also, the interviewers asked her to compare her experiences with Tarja’s and how she felt about it. So no, she was not just “name-dropping Tarja”, and no, she was not just ”trying to promote her solo album”.

People seem to think Anette Olzon lied about being fired just to promote her solo album. First of all, she never once mentioned her upcoming solo album or any details about it anywhere in the interview. Even when she was asked how she felt about getting ready to release a solo album, she said nothing about it. She simply said she is finally happy. Also, in the response released by the boys, they very clearly confirmed that Anette did not leave on her own terms, and that she was, in fact, dismissed from the band.

Nightwish has always been one with drama, which is why I stopped associating with the band after Imaginaerum came out and people started harassing me for not liking Annette; or being a "Tarjatard"; or even daring to say that Amberian Dawn's album "Circus Black" was a lot better. The only reason I'm even giving them the slightest bit of attention is because Floor is the lead now, and she's not only a very talented singer, but a wonderful person as well. I think the drama has kind of quieted down, but, you never know. I just never really got into the fandom of Nightwish as much as I did with other bands.

I try not to let the fandom push me away from the music. Doesn't always work, but I've gone out of my way to not associate with the Nightwish fandom (as much) so the music wouldn't be ruined for me.
