I'd hate for them to die, or to be replaced. And i also think that they could never go back to a normal life (even though dean tried). So i think the best way for it to end would be leaving for a different job. - i can imagine then driving off into the sunset =D

As much as I love the show, if it has to end, I'd perfer them to just drive away in the Impala.

Although in the Supernatural world, death doesn't mean a whole lot... I'd hope that this would prevent a bunch of stupid spin-offs.

if not, for them to both die...hate to say it, but it would be better with just one of them, because we know what happens then... :( but yeah, it'd be a blaze of glory, a freezeframe or something...but preferably they both survive and drive into the sunset :)

I'm all for the drama..Plus if they just drive away I fear some jackasses taking the rights and continuing the show- so death sounds better, tragic and a way to go like heroes and live forever like legends do, through people's memory! xD

As long as it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, and one or both boys dying would seem like a cliffhanger to me, cuz it always was before.

I think them driving away with you knowing that they are going to keep fighting until they do die, and that they are going to stay together. For me this show has always been about the relationship between Dean/Sam and their love for each other. And you feel like with Dean and Sam they would never feel whole living that "apple pie, normal life" they talk about because they are hunters, it is in their blood and they KNOW what is out there so they wouldn't really feel right not helping people. At the beginning of S6 you get that because you see Dean kind of got this perfect life he always wanted but something fundamental was missing. Anyway I would be royally pissed if they died; but driving off into the sunset (so to speak) and getting the feeling that they are going to keep fighting the good fight would be perfect.

there's a scene that I love two actually one from the first season after jessica dies and sam closes the trunk and says we got work to do...then season three after sam finds out about deans deal the scene is reversed and dean says we got work to do. I would love for them to end the show on that note by having them both say we got work to do and close the trunk and that be the end of it...for me that would be like closing the show since that's what kinda started it.

for sure driving away Together...as long as Cas is in the picture there is always a chance they can be brought back it's been done before...i'm not ready for the show to end anytime soon..Charmed lasted 8 seasons i'd like to see it get there...wishfull thinking i know LOL

I agree with what every one else has said for this choice =)

At first I thought them driving off into the sunset, so to speak, continuing to fight the good fight would be the perfect ending...and while I would still be perfectly okay with that, it almost doesn't seem appropriate anymore.

After thinking about it, and hearing what Eric Kripke said, and watching the finale of S5 again, I kind of feel like the only true way to end the series is with them going out in a "blaze of glory" so to speak. It would have been perfect, in a very tragic way, for them to have both died saving the world and stopping the apocalypse, of course that can't happen now, but it would have been amazing. That being said, I think they could still have this grand act and save the world, maybe not from the apocalypse, but from something else and dying. It's sad and tragic, I know, but it seems fitting.

Of course in this course of events, I need one of them (preferably both) to impregnate women so that the Winchester legacy continues, rather than ends with Dean and Sam...lol you know just so you get the feeling that even though Dean/Sam are gone, there will always be a Winchester around to save the day. It'd be a nice way to go out, I think.

I love all your ideas, especally the one with them both saying "we've got work to do" you should recommend that to the show. And teefly's one sounds so cool.

Or with one of them dying (kind of like the season 5 ending). If it was just them walking or driving away, it wouldn't feel like a true ending because you'd keep thinking that there'd be future hunts, more stories to be shown. And I don't think they could quit hunting.

They should at least get a normal life!
