I mean the whole sam and dean only thing doesn't really apply anymore people....yeah they're the stars of the show but the show is about sooooo much more...its about family in general...to me adam is a great character and I don't understand why so much hate is being thrown his way...what has he done that was soooo bad...he didn't hop on the sam and dean bandwagon, well for one he didn't know them he wanted to be with his mother again because that's who was there for him everyday...whatelse he didn't hop on the john winchester bandwagon neither did sam a few seasons ago but noone seems to care about that...adam only saw john once a year other than that he was NEVER there so why would he care about an absent father. But anyways before I start ranting uncontrollably I just wanna know why so many people hate him...

I don't think there is soooo much hate as you say...Just some never liked the idea of another Winchester, pure dislike not hate..relaaaax! ;))
Personally I don't mind him being on the show for some episodes..Could be a nice interesting plot at season 6 but it's not like I'm a fan either..Kind of like with Pamela or Ash or Jo not a big fan but they had good lines/stories.

well when ever I talk about it with others or it gets brought up people go crazy and cuss words start flying...lol I think some people believe he'll hurt the brothers or something but I think he'll bring them closer just my opinion.

I think people are just resistant to change and they're afraid that Adam will change the dynamic between Sam and Dean. And we all know that Sam's coming back [in some form] next season. They don't want anything to come between the boys and Adam represents that threat. Especially considering how Sam and Dean behaved in Jump the Shark with Ghoul!Adam. They argued quite a bit about him.

Personally, I really like Adam and would love to see him come back next season. I actually think he adds to the relationship between Sam and Dean, deepens it. They're both adults now and both have accepted that...they need a little brother that they can be protective of/show the ropes to. And Adam deserves a chance IMO. He's funny and fierce, brave and cocky...very much like Dean. So I'm guessing, just like Dean, there's a lot more going on under the surface than that smartass routine. I think he deserves a chance to show us who he really is.

I would like him to come back in S6 just long enough to tell us what happened to him and let us see that he got out. After that, I don't really care when or where or even if he's ever on the show again.

i completley agree with miss-winchester and with fanfly, i thought he was an awsome character, pretty cute too lol, and well he could provide an interesting storyline next season. i think people are threatened by the thought of another winchester brother, but i think it would be really cool to have adam build a relationship with sam and dean. like fanfly said, he's a lot like dean, which makes him entertaining, and i do really think that seeing sam and deans relationship with a younger brother would be something new and entertaining.

to me adam is like a mash up of both sam and dean...but I just want to see him in a couple epis just to know what happened to him (hopefully kripke doesn't kill him a third time bad enough sam and dean have died a gajillion times lol)

personally i just don't like sam and dean having another brother...its not that i think he'll change the dynamics between them, its just i don't really see a big reason for him to be there.

and lets say he wasn't a winchest he was just another character that came into the mix, i still don't think i would have liked him then, i'm just not a big fan of his character, and its not because he was so harsh or whatever to dean and sam, its because he just really annoys me and bugs me, and like i said before i don't really see a point to him being there.

sometimes theres characters you like and you don't like, and in my case i don't like him.

I think some people just didn't like the idea of a long lost half-brother because they found it too fan-fiction-like. There's a reason that the episode where Adam's existence was revealed was titled Jump The Shark.
